"Aren't you going to yell at me, or threaten my life?" Willow asked.

Sawyer sat there staring down at her. He wasn't sure what he expected her to say, but he wasn't sure if he liked what she asked.

"Do you... want me to?" Sawyer slowly asked.

He watched her mouth open and close a few times. The gears in her head were turning trying to figure out what he meant by that. Finally, he heard her speak.

"No," Willow said looking down at the floor.

Leaning down far enough for him to hook his finger under her chin. Lifting her head to look at him he asks," then why did you ask me?"

"I don't know," Willow said.

"Is it-"

He never got to finish what he was going to ask. His nose had picked up a familiar scent that was on the boat.

"Shit," Sawyer said standing and heading out of the room.

He didn't have to look back to know that Willow was following. Emerging onto the deck he sees two people he wished he'd never have to see. Their attention flew to him as soon as he emerged from below the boat. Not daring to break eye contact with them he orders his crew," below deck now."

They didn't ask why. They just did as they were told and he waited until they were long out of earshot. But he had to turn his head some to speak to Willow.

"It'd be best if you went below deck with the others," Sawyer said.

"No," Willow said," I'm not going to hide from these people."

"Oh, what harm can a twig do?" The female asked.

"What are you doing here mother?" Sawyer asked.

The woman looked unamused. But the man that stood beside her eyed Willow.

"If you won't give me an answer then leave," Sawyer said.

"No," the woman said," we came to bring you home."

"No," Sawyer said.

The woman grew angry at the two-letter word that Sawyer said.

"We are done waiting for you to return," the man spoke," this child game of yours has driven us to the last straw."

"Get the fuck off my boat," Sawyer growled.

His parents made no move to leave. Drawing his lip back he let out a growl. He took a step towards them, but a genital hand on his arm stopped him from advancing. Looking at it then at the owner of said hand he looks into the eyes of Willow. Willow instead took a few steps towards his parents.

"He said no, now leave," Willow said.

His parents looked amused at her attempt. They didn't see her as anything other than a twig.

"Listen well twig," his mother spoke," you'd be wise to stay out of our business."

"You know I don't think I asked for your permission, bitch," Willow said.

His mother's face held pure anger. Her hands glowed blue and she raised her hand.

"Youre going to regret calling me bitch," she said throwing it to the side.

Sawyer watched as a large amount of seawater flew at Willow. Thinking fast he moves and grabs a hold of her as the force of the water sends them flying off the boat. Turning so when they hit the water Willow wouldn't go under Sawyer felt the impact. The force of the fall knocked the air out of him and it took him a few seconds to get his barrings. Sitting up Sawyer looks at Willow. She looked unharmed.

"Are you hurt?" Sawyer asked.

"No, but how are we not sinking?" Willow asked.

"I'll explain when we are alone and my God damn parents are off my boat," Sawyer said.

Standing he holds Willow tightly and she does the same to him. His hands glow and they sink a little into the water.

"Don't let go," Sawyer said.

Willow didn't get a chance to ask why before Sawyer launched them into the air. They landed back on the boat safely and Sawyer releases his hold on her. Putting himself in between his parents and Willow he couldn't help but growl.

His parents didn't seem fazed by his actions.

"I said get off my fucking boat," he growled.

His hands glew a dark shade of blue. Rasing them slightly his parent's eyes went from boredom to fear. He knew he had a good chunk of the ocean not just behind him but over him.

"I'm not going to repeat myself," Sawyer growled.

Thunder boomed over them as Sawyer's anger grew. He watched as his parents turned around and took off. Not satisfied he launched the water after them. Once he saw the water hit the targets did he feel a little satisfied.

"Umm pup?" Willow spoke softly.

He turned around and saw fear in her eyes. Taking a deep breath he motioned for her to follow. They made their way to his room. Once the door shut behind them did he speak.

"What do you want to know," he asked not daring to look at her.

Waiting for her to ask her questions he rummaged around behind his desk finding two clean, empty glasses, and a bottle of whiskey.

"Why didn't we sink into the ocean?" Willow finally asked.

"Simple really, I can't sink," Sawyer said turning to face her.

He motioned to the two glasses and whiskey silently asking if she wanted any.

"No thank you," Willow said.

Shrugging he prose himself a drink.

"What do you mean by you can't sink?" Willow asked.

Taking a sip of the drink Sawyer answers," just that, I can't sink, saltwater and I don't mix too well."

"But freshwater and you do?" Willow asks.

"Pretty much," Sawyer said," it's what runs through the faucets."

Sawyer watched as Willow tried to figure out what else to say. By the time she finally asked another question, Sawyer had downed two glasses of whiskey.

"Okay, so what exactly are you?" Willow asked getting the hint that if she isn't specific he won't give the answer she wants.

"I'm a sea devil mixed with sea walker," Sawyer said.

"What's that?" Willow asked.

"It means I can walk on the water and control it," Sawyer said with a shrug," also depending on how pissed I get depends on how bad the storm is."

"Okay, why are you pissed at your parents?" Willow asked.

"Why did you run away?" Sawyer shot back.

"Because we didn't see eye to eye and I wanted my freedom," Willow said.

"Well, I'm in a similar boat as you," Sawyer said.

"But your not royalty," Willow said.

"True, but that doesn't stop parents from trying to control their child's life," Sawyer said.

"So what made you leave your home?" Willow ask.

"Many things," Sawyer said with another shrug," the last straw was when they told me I was engaged to a bitch."

"Wait did you know the person that they said you were going to marry?" Willow asked.

"Nope never met her," Sawyer said.

By now he had half his whiskey bottle empty.

"Man at least mine allowed me to met the asses they wanted me to marry," Willow said.

"But mine at least gave me a little freedom," Sawyer said with a smirk.

"Shut up," Willow said.

The two laughed at how fucked up their parents were. He could tell she was happy to know someone that had horrible parents.
