Three days had passed and with those three days, Sawyer noticed that Willow and Treasure had gotten awful close. They didn't seem to be doing anything without the other. Which meant the normal work that shouldn't take long was now taken twice as long. They were currently below deck cleaning the hallways. Well, Willow was currently cleaning the hallways, Treasure was just standing there watching. Having enough of this Sawyer walks up to them.
"What on earth are you two doing?" Sawyer questions the girls.
Willow stops cleaning and Treasure just stares at him.
"Well," Sawyer demanded.
"We're cleaning," Treasure said.
"No Treasure, Willow is cleaning," Sawyer said," you are not."
"Well I'm sorry sir, but she right now doesn't feel safe and I'm just making her feel a little better," Treasure said," if you have a problem with that then I'll work double the rest of the day."
Looking at the two through slit eyes Sawyer thought about Treasures offer. With a sigh, Sawyer agreed to it. Leaving them alone he went to his room. He had fallen behind on his work because of all the interruptions. After he had broken up Treasure and Chase's little fight everyone had found out who Willow truly was three days ago no one seemed to be able to get anything done.
Knock, knock.
"Inter," Sawyer said not looking up from his work.
"Sorry to bother you sir but we have a problem," Violet said.
"What is it?" Sawyer asked.
"Well there is an enemy ship approaching and Polly was knocked out," Violet informed.
"What!?" Sawyer shouted standing from his chair.
Quickly moving from his desk Sawyer left his room and ran to the deck. Running out into the open he saw the enemy ship approach. It was slightly smaller than his boat but he could tell that it held a few more people on it than his.
"Violet go get Treasure," Sawyer instructed," and tell Willow to lock herself in her room."
"Yes, captain," Violet said running back below deck.
He wanted all his crew ready for a fight. He also didn't need a princess in the way of all the commotion. Let alone to have a distraction, he still needed to figure out what he was going to do with her.
Bang!
Bang!
The enemy started to fire cannons.
"Dustin, Eleanor get your asses to your stations," Sawyer shouted," everyone else get ready for a fight, and someone wake Polly's ass up we need our lookout."
No one said a word they just ran and did what they were told. Looking to the stairs he saw Violet and Treasure running up to get to their spots. With a deep breath, Sawyer shouts the order to attack. All at once, his crew hooked the attacker's boat and charged into the attack. The shouts of both his crew and the enemy's filled the air. Looking around at the fighting he saw that for every one of his crew the enemy seemed to have two. With a growl, Sawyer joined the fight. He wasn't going to let these people win.
"Captain coming in from behind!" Polly's voice shouted.
Turning his head Sawyer saw that a person was charging him from behind. Quickly moving aside he managed to trip the attacker and stab their head. Moving on to the next person.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Polly shrieked.
Snapping his head Sawyer saw Willow running to join the fight.
"Fuck!" Sawyer shouted moving to go after Willow.
"Where do you think you're going Mr. Barbairian?" a male asked from behind.
Turning to look at who spoke Sawyer saw a tall man and could tell by the way the man was dressed and held himself that the man was the captain of the enemy.
"Are you too cowardly to face me?" The man taunted.
"I'm in no mood for games," Sawyer informed.
"Then you should be happy this isn't a game," the man said pointing his sword at Sawyer.
"If you value your life along with your crews I'd surrender," Sawyer said.
"I should be saying that to you," the man said," you're outnumbered."
"I may be outnumbered but my crew knows what's expected of them," Sawyer said," and they know how to fight."
"And you think my crew doesn't?" The man questioned.
"Apparently not since I managed to kill one of them in under a minute," Sawyer said.
That must have angered the captain for he charged at Sawyer. Pulling his danger out Sawyer stood ready for the man. Then a grey blur got in between the two men. The man never slowed down and the clang of two swords could be heard. Having to do a double-take Sawyer realized that the grey blur was none other than Willow. She had gotten in-between him and his opponent. Not just that but she was actually holding her own in the fight.
"Oh come on I've seen old women put up a better fight than you," Willow mocked.
"How dare you mock me, girl!" The man shouted angrily.
Sawyer watched as Willow held her own against the man. When he would attack she defended herself and then make her attack. He could see that she had some training in sword fighting and was quite impressed. He never expected a princess could fight. But he could tell she needed more practice, she was able to fight but she wasn't making much progress in winning the fight against the man. Getting tired to watch the two Sawyer intervened. Grabbing her wrist Sawyer moved her out of the way and going in for an attack himself. The enemy captain wasn't expecting Sawyer to get involved and in one quick move, Sawyer slit the man's throat and then kicked him over the boat into the saltwater below. Turning to see how the others were faring Sawyer saw that they were just finishing up with their opponents.
"You did well," Sawyer said turning to Willow he added," if you're going to stay on my boat you're going to need more lessons in sword fighting."
Willow's eyes lit up. He could tell she wasn't expecting those words, and he truly wasn't expecting himself to say those words. He had surprised himself when he said that.
"Sir we have some that are alive," Chase said.
"What would you like us to do with them?" Dustin asked.
"Take them onto our boat and lock them up," Sawyer said," we'll see if they're worth anything at our next stop."
"Yes sir," they all said.
Sawyer watched as his crew grabbed the survivors and took them to their boat. Making his way back onto his boat Sawyer let his hands glow blue and turning to face the opponent's boat he lifted his hands and the water followed the motion. Clapping his hands together he watched as the ocean crushed the boat and pulled the pieces down with it.
