Days that had passed by after the welcomed visit of Sawyers' parents Willow had opened up more to Sawyer. When she was not doing anything she would spend her free time with him wherever on the boat that would be. Well everywhere but the bathroom. She'd wait in his room and talk to him while he showered, and he'd answer and talk back. She noted that he had grown more relaxed. His temper was less short, and he wasn't yelling at the twins as much when they broke something.
But Dustin however, has grown crueler towards her. He would have her do the hardest, dirtiest of jobs on the boat. She was the one he kept the busiest. And for that she hated it. He would go to her room almost every night waking her up at an unholy hour just to start cleaning. It had gotten to the point where she would move something in her room in front of her door to keep him out. If she didn't put anything in front of the door she would sleep on the floor using herself as a door block.
"Hey Willow, you okay?" Treasure asked. She and Treasure we're currently cleaning the halls.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Willow answered with a question.
"Well, you just look exhausted," Treasure said eyeing her friend.
"No, I'm fine," Willow lied. She was exhausted. She'd find herself doing anything just to stay awake. But she wasn't going to let anyone know.
"Well I think we are done here," Treasure said," why don't you go and get a nap or something."
"It'll be a or something then," Willow said," or have you forgotten that pup is going to let me use my actual sword today."
"No, I haven't forgotten," Treasure said," I was just hoping you'd get a nap before that."
"Naps are for the twins," Willow said walking away.
"Well, you'd you at least put the broom back into the broom closet before you leave," Treasure said with a laugh.
Willow stopped walking and looked at her hands. She was still holding the broom she was using. Embarrassed she walks back over to Treasure.
"Don't say a word about this," Willow said handing her friend the broom.
Treasure just rolled her eyes and laughed. Walking away from her laughing friend Willow makes a stop at her room. She grabbed the sword Sawyer gave her and was about to leave her room. But something had caught her eye. Looking back at where she kept the sword she saw a chunk of broken wood. Picking it up she looked around trying to find where it had come from. She didn't see anywhere where the wood would have come from.
"Well looks like I should bring you to pups attention," Willow said putting her sword back," I may not get to do any sword practice today with you Mr wood."
Walking to the deck she spots Sawyer sitting in his chair. Although she should start calling it his thrown sense that it was it reminds her of. Walking over to him it wasn't long before he caught her eye. He looked confused as to why she didn't have her sword with her.
"Did you change your mind?" Sawyer asked.
"No, I still want to learn to use my sword," Willow said," but I found this in my room."
She held out the chunk of wood to him. She watched him take it from her hand and inspect it. He looked just as confused as she felt.
"Well, now I'm confused," Sawyer said.
Willow looked at him not sure what to do.
"This is the same size of the hole that everyone was punished for," Sawyer explained looking at her.
"Why was it in my room then?" Willow asked.
"Either someone was trying to hide the evidence," Sawyer said," or they were trying to frame you."
Willow stiffened. The only person she knew of that didn't like her was Dustin, but would he have risked Sawyer finding out just in hopes of getting rid of her?
"Do you know who could have done it?" Sawyer asked.
"No," Willow lied. She didn't want to tell Sawyer. That would mean she would be the cause of him no longer trusting his first-mate.
He was watching her for a few minutes. He didn't say a word. Just stared at her.
"What?" Willow asked.
"How much sleep have you gotten?" Sawyer asked.
"Enough," Willow lied yet again. She was beginning to hate all the questions that she had to lie to.
"Come with me," Sawyer said standing from his chair.
Willow followed silently. It wasn't until they reached his room that she spoke.
"Why are we here?" Willow asked.
"Well, I have a few papers to do," Sawyer said," and you need a nap."
"I'm fine," Willow lied.
"I'd appreciate it if you'd stop lying to me, kitten," Sawyer said," and don't you dare say you're not."
Willow closed her mouth not sure what to do or say. Instead, she said nothing and followed him into his room. She was making her way to the couch, but Sawyers' hand grabbing her shoulder stopped her.
"You can sleep in the bed," Sawyer said.
"But that's your bed," Willow objected," I can't sleep there."
"Trust me it's more comfortable than the couch," Sawyer said.
When will made no move to the bed she felt arms wrap around her legs and shoulders. With a yelp, she was lifted off her feet and now was in the arms of Sawyer. He carried her bridal style to the bed where he dumped her.
"Get some sleep," Sawyer said walking over to his desk.
She sat up and was about to get off the bed but when Sawyer turned to glare at her she just took her shoes off and pulled the covers over her. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to sleep with him in the same room. But she will give him one thing his bed was super comfortable. It felt like she was on a cloud and it wasn't long before she was fighting sleep. But with the genital breathing of not just her but of Sawyer who sat at his desk now she soon lost the fight with sleep.
