Runaway With a Pirate

Chapter 6

Looking down at the ground where the girl fell he notices a brown pouch with a big S stitched into it. Picking it up he opens it and sees that it only had a few gems in it. Looking in the direction the girl ran he picks up not just her scent but the faint scent of Jane. Curious he turns to follow the girl only to be quickly stopped by a mob of people screaming and shouting. One of them stops and questions him, " have you seen a girl in a hoodie?"

"No, I haven't, " he lied. The angry mob of people believed what he had said and continue on their way looking for the girl.

Chuckling to himself at how stupid people could be he walks in the direction the girl ran. Following her scent, he took notice that she smelled of cherry blossoms, it leads to the open fields that soon had a small forest. The girl's scent went into the forest. Confused about why she would go into the forest.

It didn't take long for him to find the girl. Hiding behind a tree he watched as she took the hood of her hoodie off revealing grey cat ears with brown tips, and long grey hair going down to her butt. Deciding to get closer to her he walks up to her. Reaching a hand out to tap her shoulder to get her attention he then feels a tight grip on his wrist. The next thing he knew he was lying flat on his back in the dirt. The girl then turns and runs off. Stunned and with the breath knocked out of him he slowly gets up from the ground.

Looking around not sure what direction the girl ran he lifts his nose to the sky and tries to pick up her scent. Finding it he starts to follow it. He took noticed that she was going back to the town that she had just run out of. Getting closer he also realized that it was a different part of the town. This part was closer to the port and he could make out his boat from where he was. Hunting the girl down he noticed that her scent was heading back towards a shady part of the town. Taking a short cut he managed to spot the girl and get in front of her.

She bumps into him again. She looks up and has a startled look on her face. Taking advantage of her stunned look and posture he quickly knocks her out. Catching her so she didn't hit the ground he checks the pocket of her hoodie and sees that his pouch wasn't the only one that she nabbed. Two other pouches with a C and a T stitched on them were in her pocket along with a few other valuables. Throwing her over his shoulder he makes his way to the boat giving up on finding Jane.

As he got closer to the port he saw Jane walking his way and was looking pleased with herself. Quickly he grabs ahold of Jane's upper arm and drags her behind him. Jane complains all the way back to the boat quickly eating at his nerves. Walking up the gangplank he gets on his boat and roughly shoves Jane.

Yelling he orders someone on the boat, " get this boat moving."

He sees Eleanor running to get the boat out of the port and back on the vast sea. Soon they were on the move and his crew cluster around him looking at the unconscious girl hanging over their Captain's shoulder. Ignoring their stairs he turns to Chase and Treasure.

"Are you two missing anything?" He questioned them giving them a hard stare.

The two check themselves over and realized that they were missing their pouches. Looking at their Captain they see him holding their pouches by the strings swinging them back and forth. They shyly take their pouches from his hand feeling humiliated for letting someone take something from them without them even realizing it. Shoving Jane in front of him he starts to empty her pockets as she tries to get out of his grip. Getting everything out of her pockets he saw all the gems and gold doubloons laying on the ground. Picking it all up he turns and walks below the deck caring the girl down to the bring. Walking into the bring he lays the girl on the damp floor closing the door behind him and locking it behind him.

Walking into his room he closes the door behind him and walks over to another door that was locked. Before he opened the door he saw a key in the keyhole. Feeling around he realized that Jane had somehow managed to get not just his pouch but also the key to his treasure room. Opening it he saw that one of his chests wasn't closed all the way. Putting the money back in it that Jane took he looks around to make sure nothing else was missing. Seeing nothing missing he walks out of the room and locks the door behind him. Placing the key in a hidden drawer on his table he makes himself comfortable on the couch in his room.

"What the hell, how'd you get out!?"
