He jumped, and came back a different person. But that doesn't mean he ever stopped loving him.

The first game was simple, an obstacle race around the stadium, where you were allowed to use your quirk freely. The huge overwhelming crowd cheered as all of the students took their places, Mina and Y/N were -much to Bakugou's dislike- nervously holding each other's hands. Mina squeezed Y/N's hand before letting go as Y/N started filing through music to use. Each light dimmed and Y/N crouched on the ground, ready to get a good head start. Y/N couldn't find a good song and in a panic selected the first one he saw. Wow... he thought, I'm more indecisive than I thought I was. But it was too late to be disappointed because the final light blinked and Y/N started the race.
This song made Y/N have somewhat of a jump boost as well as the ability to slide. It was also very fun for cheer practice but it goes without saying that waving around a couple of pompoms wasn't going to do Y/N much good. The crowd was messy, people bumping into each other and yelling, it reminded Y/N of when he first encountered Shigaraki. But nevertheless, Y/N hopped up in tempo with the music and started bouncing on each of the student heads. Mouthing a small "sorry.." on each one. It was an almost comical sight but it was also the most effective route, as Y/N got to the front of the line only behind Todoroki. He froze the people behind him mercilessly but that didn't slow Y/N down in the slightest. He simply jumped on Todoroki's head as well. It was pretty hard for Y/N to control his laughter.
Y/N was getting pretty far ahead at the moment which caused him to bump into more problems. Robots. Oh boy... Y/N thought. At first he considered fighting them but then he realized if he did that he'd be making it easier for everyone else. So, he bounced and jumped from place to place. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't having any fun, a big smile plastered on his face. The robots started saying something about targets so Y/N threw a rock he made from jumping on the ground to divert their attention to the rest of the students. Sorry Midoriya... It do be like that sometimes. Y/N thought, half solemnly. Y/N was proud he had managed to get past those huge robots. They were the same ones that he saw the others fight in the entrance exam so the rest of the students would be prepared... right?

"Y/N FROM CLASS 1-A EVERYBODY!" Present Mic shouted, Y/N waving up at him. "HE'S THE FIRST ONE THROUGH!" The next barrier was a piece of cake for Y/N who only had to wait a second for the song to loop around to its 'prime hopping bit' Y/N really couldn't believe his luck with the song he had chosen. It was fairly useless in hand to hand combat as it was pretty easy to catch him, he had to rely on his brain to get past the robots but this course was simple. It was a great canyon with small pads, perfect for Y/N to hop on. I feel like a frog... or a bunny... Y/N thought, his smile not wavering. He completely ignored the ropes between the pads and got to hopping.
The next barrier made Y/N stop slightly, a minefield huh... Y/N was about to do something risky. He'd try to slide his way through the field and jump right where the last one would explode. This could be life ruining but what else would you expect from a UA event? Crouching down and turning around, he pushed himself backwards, sliding at great speed and watching the explosions he left behind. "WHAT A DARING MOVE FROM Y/N BUT AS TO BE EXPECTED FROM THE ONE IN FIRST PLACE" Present Mic said, Y/N barely noticed anything he yelled though because he was too busy focusing on getting this last jump right. Right on time, he pushed his legs up, launching himself in the air before any explosions could hit him. "AN AMAZING PLAY BY Y/N THERE HE GOES!" Shouted Mic before listing a couple of facts about Y/N, for example, how he was mute and didn't have a last name.
Y/N made it into the arena, sliding on his stomach like a baseball player, he was so tired but got up to wave up at Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic again while the crowd roared. Y/N looked like a puppy after a long hike, tired but excited. Soon after him came Midoriya followed by an angered Bakugou and Todoroki. Y/N wanted to go and talk with them but settled on lying down instead, giving a thumbs up to symbolize he was okay before anyone tried to give him medical attention.
