layla's party 2

After we arrive at the party

Alexa's Pov
We pull up outside a house and park on the street. Asher jumps out of the car before walking over to my side and opening the car door and grabbing my hand, helping me out of the car.

"Thanks" I say.

"Come on" we walk up towards the house and we walk straight inside.

"Yo Asher" JJ says coming up to us, in only boxers, and dapping Asher up.

"Hey JJ" Asher says.

"Ahh Alexa. How are you doing?" JJ says pulling me in for a hug"

I tense up and or him on the back before he lets me go and walks off to find Jordan.

"You good there?" Ashe asks seeing my awkwardness.

"Not really since JJ's dick basically rubbed up against me" I say complaining.

Asher starts laughing at me before pulling me into a hug.

"What why you hugging me now" I say confused.

"Making sure JJ and his balls aren't the last thing you can feel touching you." he says making fun of me.

"Well thank you for making me feel soooo much better Ash." I say sarcastically.

I snort and pull away and he does too.

"Come on let's go find Jordan." he says pulling us towards the group.

We go up towards the group and say hello.

"Hi Asher."Layla's says giving him a kiss.

"Hey Lexi" she says bringing me into a hug.

"Hey Jordy" I say giving Jordan a hug.

"Hey Lexi" he says giving me a hug back.

I see Spencer standing alone by himself and I'm about to go walk over to him when I see Layla beat me to it. I look up at Asher who is watching with his jaw clenched tightly shut. I grab his bicep and whisper in his ear.

"Ash you've got nothing worry about just relax"

He looks down at me before he wraps an arm around my shoulder pulling me in for a side hug.

"Hey Lexi, follow me." JJ says before dragging me with him towards the kitchen and I follow him.

"So what do you want?" he asks displaying the bottles of alcohol on the side of the countertop.

I smile at JJ before saying "Surprise me."

Jordan's Pov
When JJ drags Alexa away from us, Asher and I talk over the plan. Out of the corner of my eye I see JJ offering a drink to Alexa and I tap Asher.

"What" he says.

"Look at Alexa" I say.

"What about her"

"She's about to start drinking."

"So what that's a normal thing that every teenager does." Asher says not getting the point.

"I know that Asher but Spencer told me not to let her drink tonight." I say.

"Why not?"

"Because apparently after her mom died she went down the wrong road and started drinking and doing other stuff. Apparently she stopped doing it after a while but the same time for the past year, she relapses again." I say.

"On her moms birthday" Asher finished looking up at me.

I nod.

He looks back over at Alexa to see JJ passing her a drink.

He looks back at me before pushing through a crowd of people and getting through to Alexa.

Asher's Pov
After what Jordan says I rush through the crowd to get to Alexa and when I do I snatch the drink out of her hand.

"Hey Ash I was gonna drink that" she says.

"No you weren't because your not having that." I say sternly to her.

"Fine then I'll drink this instead" she says grabbing a bottle of vodka which I take away from her a few seconds later.

"I'm not letting you drink tonight Alexa." I say.

"Why not"

"Because I know about your past with alcohol and other stuff. I know that it usually happens this time for the past year or two." I say.

"It's not a big deal"she says as I place the drinks back on the counter.

"But it is to me" I say grabbing both her hands and holding them in mine. She looks down at them before looking back at me.

"When my mom left us I drank a lot too. I thought that it would somehow make me feel better about the whole situation but it didn't. I only just forgot about it until it hit me in the morning when I was having a hangover. I made a mistake and I have to live with that for the rest of my life." I say. "I'm not letting you do the same thing Lex" I say.

She looks into my eyes before rolling her eyes.
"Your lucky that the only person I listen to is you Ash." she says.

Alexa's Pov
"Okay come on then let me get you a coke." Asher says and leading me towards the fridge. We both get a drink and sit at the kitchen table and talk. I look over and see Spencer drinking with Jordan and Layla whilst I'm talking to Asher.

"He's so gonna have a bad hangover at Saturday practice tomorrow." I say pointing to Spencer.

Asher looks over and laughs.

"Yep it's gonna be terrible." he says.

"Why are you over here with me you should be drinking with the rest of them" I say pointing over at them.

"I ain't drinking because your not" he says and we spend the rest of the night talking about random stuff until the party ends.
