Alexa's Pov
Girlfriend? Since when has Asher gotten a girlfriend. How? How did I let this happen? How did the guys know about this?

"Girlfriend?" Asher's Dad questions out loud.

Asher nods his head.

"Yes Dad, girlfriend." Asher repeats.

"Hi I'm Jules." the girl says in an overexcited barbie doll voice.

"Uh...hi I'm Asher's Dad." Asher's Dad says,
holding his hand out in front of him.

"Calm down now, I'm a hugger." she giggles before practically dragging him into a hug.

"Oh, okay. We're doing this." he says awkwardly, patting her shoulder as she hugs him.

She pulls away from him and smiles.

"Asher's told me all about you." she says to him.

"I'm sure he has." he looks over at Asher with a sort of 'the fuck' look on his face.

Jules turns away from Asher's Dad and finally looks at me.

"Babe, who is this?" she asks Asher.

"This is Lex." Asher introduces me.

"Lex?" she says in a questioning tone.

"Alexa, but Ash calls me Lex." I say, holding my hand out to shake her hand.

She looks at my hand like it's dirty before she politely shakes it.

"I prefer Alexa, but I must say I haven't heard about you at all." she says.

"I'm sure you have." Asher's Dad says.

"No." she answers quickly.

"I haven't." she adds, looking me up and down with a disgusted look on her face.

"Okay." Asher claps his hands together.

"Who's ready for some food?" Asher's Dad asks.

"Oh, me and Jules are going out for food. Figured you guys would be okay with that. But Lex, you can come if you want." Asher turns to me.

I look at him and then at Jules.

"I'm good thanks. I really want to see Spencer though." I say, making up an excuse so I don't have to go with them and third wheel.

"Oh, ok...we'll see you soon." Asher quirks his eyebrow up in confusion before he leaves the room with Jules.

Once I hear the front door shut behind them and lock, I lean against the kitchen counter, head in my hands as I sigh heavily.

"It's not gonna last." I hear Asher's Dad say as he stands besides me.

"What's not gonna last?" I ask, looking up from my hands and at him.

"Him and...that girl." he says, already forgetting her name.

"You can't say that, he's your son." I let out a small chuckle before turning around and facing him fully.

"I know...doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it all." he states, causing me to become confused.

"What do you mean by that? What's your opinion?" I ask.

"Well-what I think is that he's just using her to try and get over you. This sort of thing will only last a week tops." he explains, causing me to be surprised.

"How did you k-"

"I may not be here a lot but that doesn't make me stupid. It's pretty obvious that you care about each other as more than friends. I'd have to be blind to not see it." he goes further into detail.

I nod my head before letting out a heavy sigh again.

"It'll be over before you know." he pats my arm before leaving the room.

Just as I'm about to go out of the patio doors, he pops his head out from behind the doorway.

"Just so you know, she's a bitch." he adds, causing me to laugh before he leaves for real this time.

I slide open the patio doors and exit the house, going over to the pool before dipping my feet in it. I don't know how long I'm sitting their for u too my phone starts ringing, I pull it out of my back pocket and read the contact. It's Jordan.

"Hi?"
"Hey, sorry for not telling you about Asher and that girl, I don't even remember her name. I feel like it's partly my fault because I suggested we went on this trip together and then next thing I know she-"
"Jordan, it's fine. I'll be okay. I missed you though."
"I've missed you too. But I'm free now if you want to hang out. I can order some food to yours and bring over a movie in 10?"
"That'd be great."
"Are you sure you're okay about this?"
"Yes J, just bring your ass over here so I can see you."
"Okay, okay. I'll see you in 10."
hangs up...

I sigh to myself as I hear the patio door slide open. I turn my head and see Asher's Dad coming outside.

"Hi." I greet him as he stops in the doorway.

"Hey, I'm sorry to leave you home alone but I've got to go to the office. Some really important files have been misplaced and I need to help my assistant find them. Are you okay for dinner?" he asks as he eyes my face, as if he's trying to read me.

"I'll be okay, Jordan is coming over in a bit anyways since I've not seen him in a while." I explain as he nods his head.

"Jordan." he breathes out before nodding his head.

"Jordan's a good kid. I'll be back later, just make sure you don't burn the house down." he chuckles and I smile at him before he leaves.

I turn back and look at my reflection in the water and let out a heavy sigh.

Asher Adams. What the hell are you doing to me?
