Chapter 6 - Home

Annie's Point of View

"Ma'am--I mean Annie. Isn't this too much? You're already spoiling my family while I was with you and then this kind of pay check when I haven't even worked for the whole week?" he said through the phone. I was at home watching Attack on Titan when he called.

"Baby shhh. Don't worry about anything." I said while putting some popcorn on my mouth.

"But Annie...I don't want to burden you too much. I'm just your assistant." I can hear the hint of sadness from his voice.

"MY assistant." I said putting emphasis on the word my. "Every single employee of mine gets spoiled don't worry about it. Even Hitch can afford a whole Victoria's Secret shop by now. Plus you were with me all day without any rests. You deserve it darling." I said as my eyes were still glued on the screen watching the female titan fight off the attack titan.

There was a moment of silence before he spoke."Thank you so much for this Annie." and then he ended the call.

It's getting quite lonely without him around. Should I go to him? Would that be rude?

I sighed as I got up the sofa and switched off the tv. I went through some documents and looked for his resume. There I saw it and started reading his address.

"Well it isn't too far away from here."

I arrived at a small apartment building. This is where he probably lives. I went up the stairs because there was no elevator.

Then I saw his apartment number and knocked on the door. Minutes later a woman showed up and smiled at me.

"Hey do you need anything?" she asked politely. Her hair was blonde and she looked like she was already in her 40s.

"Uhmm..Is Armin here?" as I mentioned his name her face lit up.

"Are you a friend?" she asked and I thought of possible answers to her question. If I told the truth that I was his boss she'd probably think I'm overworking him even in weekends. I sighed and just nodded my head.

"Hey Armin! Your friend is here come say hi!" She called out to him and seconds later he was there. He was wearing a simple white shirt and pants. He looked dazzling even without expensive clothing.

He looked surprised when he saw me. He quickly came in front of the woman which he called mom and told her to go back to what she was doing. She gave me a sweet smile before leaving the both of us.

"I would tell you to uh, go in. But it's chaos in there." he said shyly while scratching the back of his head and avoiding eye contact with me. I grabbed his chin and put his face closer to mine and left a kiss on him making him surprised of my sudden behavior.

"It got boring at home so I came to see my assistant." I said which made him look at me. "I'm sorry am I, perhaps... interrupting a family bonding moment?"

"No! Of course not. We were just minding our own businesses there." he nervously laughed.

The door suddenly opened which startled the both of us. His mom was there again. "Armin, let your friend stay inside. It's all clean now." she said and smiled at me.

Armin then looked at me and nodded. I took off my heels at the front door and he gave me indoor slippers.

I looked around their apartment as I was walking. It was quite small but it made me feel at home. I saw a picture of a child with long blonde hair. It was Armin. He looked cute as a child. Although he looked the same, he looked manlier with his new hair and his body became more built.
