Annie's Point of View

Several weeks have passed since Armin became co-CEO. He shared the same work as I have and became busier. He would sometimes come to my office to do his work there but he was mostly in his office so he could focus.

Since WWW is a public figure, of course Armin would be all over the news and articles. I personally hate interviews and would ditch some reporters but Armin wasn't like that. He has a great public image but at the same time, kept his life private.

His parents already knew about him being promoted and when they saw it through the news, they called Armin immediately. They couldn't be so much more happier for him.

He's not with me right now and I'm pretty sure he's in his office. But I know how much of a workaholic he is so I don't want to bother.

He probably wants to show everyone that he isn't playing. That he's serious about his job and didn't become co-CEO just because the CEO liked him.

Hitch came in with more papers to sign.

"That's it?" I looked through the papers and saw how thin it is. Well it is thick. But this is thinner than usual.

"Armin got some papers so you wouldn't have to go through it all day. He wants you to go easy."

"But he's got it hard." I stood up and was about to go to his office when Hitch stopped me.

"It'd be better to sign these papers first. I'll help you. You can go to him once you're done, Annie. He doesn't want to be looked down on. You gave him an easy access to being co-CEO but he's had it hard ever since he became one. He's doing this for you so the least you could do is appreciate his efforts and let him do his job."

Hitch's words slapped me. It is true. Armin is that type of guy.

I sighed and began signing the papers as Hitch held the papers I've already signed.

Now I'm beginning to feel bad. Armin's schedule became more hectic because of me. We barely have time for each other and the only time we see each other is lunch time and at home. He maybe feels bad for giving me less time so he would come to my office.

I felt as if I just gave him a burden to carry.

I finished signing all of the papers and Hitch left my office. I stood up and stretched my body. I went in front of the mirror to retouch before I went to Armin's office.

I didn't knock first and opened the door to his office as quietly as I could. I saw him sitting down as his gaze went back and forth through his laptop and papers.

He placed his hands at the back of his neck and began stretching while still not removing his gaze from his work.

His hair was slightly messy and his shirt was unbuttoned on the collar. His tie was loose and his suit rested on the back of his chair.

He looked stressed but was still looking fine.

I knocked on the door and he looked up to me. He looked stressed as I observed him a while ago but when he saw me, he gave me a huge smile and a welcoming face.

I closed the door and went to him, sitting on his lap like I usually do. I caressed his face and observed it. He looked tired.

"I'm sorry." I managed to say as I was looking at him.

"Is something wrong baby?" He cupped my face and looked at me worriedly. Worry plastered on his face and the work he was doing earnestly a while ago was forgotten once he looked at me.
