A year had passed since the war against Bairan and the Golden army troops had withdrawn from Heolsan camp.

The two troops, those from Heolsan camp, as well as those based at the Bairan site, underwent reorganisation, to form a new Heolsan army as well as the city troops for the Bairan town. Sanduel was one of the few from Heolsan that was posted to the Bairan city army whereas Jin volunteered to be posted to the city army. Jimin and the others remained in the Heolsan camp.

Lieutenant Park was disappointed with Jin's posting request. He wanted Jin to remain in Heolsan as he saw the potential in him. However, Jin stood by his decision to be posted to Bairan city.

Jin sat down at the stairs in front of the assembly ground of their camp after finishing his duty earlier that evening.

Taejun appeared in Jin's resting area one day after the final battle with the resilience army.

"Jin, I know you are upset by Moonbyul's..."

"Hyung, she is not dead." Jin interrupted Taejun.

"Yes, we had not acknowledge her as dead too. Unless the identity tag of the missing is found, we will only declare them as missing. My grandfather is also one such case. He went missing during one of the wars against the Bairan resilience army many years ago."

"Hyung..."

"I am here to tell you to buck up. Moonbyul wouldn't like to see you in this state if she was here. You must not let her sacrifice become nothing." Taejun paused momentarily before continuing. "Hyung did not want me to share this with you, but I thought you should know."

Jin looked at the elder male with a perplexed look.

"You were selected for the assassination plan initially."

Jin's eyes widened. "How did you know?"

"You must promise me that you will not tell anyone whatever I am going to tell you."

Jin nodded.

"Well, the First-in-Command of the army is my Father. There are a lot of things we knew simply because of our relationship, as well as being a member of the Golden Army."

"Your Father is the Commander?"

Taejun nodded. "There is nothing hidden from my Father or even some of my relatives within the army, since they are all holding high ranks in the army. They would let us know information which they felt that we should be aware, even though our ranks weren't there, through our own communication channel. The elders knew about the conflict between the other soldiers against the Golden Army all along and told us, especially Hyung, Moonbyul and myself, to stay low profile. After all, we are the direct descendants of the Commander and they did not want us to be subjected to unnecessary judgement. That is the reason why Byul kept her real identity from you."

Jin remained shocked from what just came out from Taejun's mouth. "What happened in the end? Why did the Commander change the plan?"

"The Heolsan sub team were sent on a few missions to attack on some of the opponent's hideouts. Through the encounters with the other army, they gathered that it might be too dangerous to send just a few soldiers into their camp."

"Sub team members were engaged in the earlier attacks?"

"Yes, in fact, Moonbyul and the other sub team members participated in the battle you guys engaged in Bairan. Her team, in particular, cleared most of the opponents for your team. That was the one which Youngjo was badly injured."
