Story 5

In an abandoned warehouse

"MOON BYULYI! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" A male voice shouted across the abandoned warehouse. 

The mentioned lady froze in place when she heard her name. She recognised the owner of the voice, the man she was going to marry in two weeks' time, by the name of Kim Seok Jin, more commonly addressed as Jin.

"Noona, are you okay?" Jin ran up to the female sitting on the ground. He could not believe his eyes when he saw Byulyi pushing the elder female. "Your hands are bleeding! Come, I will bring you to the hospital."

Jin carried Joo Hyun in a princess style and walked out of the warehouse immediately. He did not give the other person present at the scene any chance to explain her actions, not even sparing her another look.

If he had taken another glance, he would have noticed how pale she was and that she was bleeding too. But unlike Joo Hyun whose bleeding came from minor scrapes on her hands from cushioning herself from her fall, Byulyi's injury was caused by a metal rod.

"Jin ah." Joo Hyun wanted to explain to Jin what happened before he arrived. But she was interrupted by the male.

"Noona, I apologised on behalf on Byulyi." Jin said as he started his car. 

"Jin ah, can you please listen to me?" 

"Noona, you don't have to explain anything." Jin refused to let the female complete her intention. "I know you are going to say that it wasn't Byulyi's fault. You are just being too nice to her every time. Don't you realise that you always end up in injuries whenever you are with her? She is nothing, but a lady that is full of cunning ideas. That's how she managed to get my mother to agree to on our marriage. You know how difficult my mother can be at times."

"No, Jin. You really don't know. Byulyi isn't who you think she is. She never hurt me. Never once in the before and even today." Joo Hyun rebutted. "You should turn back and bring her back with us as well."

Jin shook his head in disagreement. "We don't need to be bothered by her. She will turn up at the wedding venue as planned, since it is the wedding she and my mother had wanted so much."

Seeing how Jin was not listening to her, Joo Hyun sighed in defeat. She wanted to contact her bodyguards to head to the warehouse to look for the female who was left behind. But she realised that her phone was damaged when she fell. 

"I am not lending you my phone, if you are thinking to send people to look for her." Jin said as he saw Joo Hyun's actions through the rear mirror. "Noona, she doesn't need our help."

"Jin ah, I hope you won't regret your actions." Joo Hyun said.

"Where have you been for the last few days?" Mdm Kim said when her son entered their bungalow. 

"Joo Hyun noona went missing and we went around to look for her."

"That's all?"

"What else do you expect me to say, Mother?" Jin replied sarcastically. "Oh, your daugher-in-law was with her when Noona was found. We won't rule out that she abducted Noona."

Mdm Kim frowned at her son's comment. 

"Where is she now?"

"Joo Hyun noona? She is in the hospital for a full body check up."

"I am asking about Byulyi." 

"Who knows? She will have her means to come back anyway." Jin said nonchalantly. "You don't have to worry about her. The wedding will proceed as planned. She wanted it so much, she won't let anything get into her way."
