Story 6.2

Byulyi laid down on the bed in her own room after washing up that night. She did not stay in the hotel, unlike what Yoon did. It was her hometown and her family stayed here.

It had been a few years since she left home. She did not return for visit during the three years that she was away.

She was afraid.

Afraid that her effort in healing her wounds while being away would go down the drain.

She was scared.

Scared that she could not handle how things developed after she chose to run away.

Letting out a sigh, Byulyi closed her eyes and her mind started wondering off in the lalaland.

Having known Jin from young, Byulyi knew his character very well. She knew that he had already decided before telling her and there was pretty much nothing she could do to salvage their relationship. That explained her calm reaction.

However, she was also a human at the same time. She avoided Jin so that she could rest her mind and heal her broken heart alone. That was no one else whom she could speak to, as no one knew about their relationship.

Byulyi did not speak to Yongsun about the matter, since it involved her brother. She did not want to put the elder lady in a difficult situation.

It happened that she received an email from a multinational company. One that she had sent her resume to when she first graduated. She had been talent scouted and was invited to join their team based in country A. It was a rare opportunity for her.

At the same time, Byulyi thought that it would also be weird for her to remain in the company when Jin and the heiress was. She was afraid of any repercussions once the heiress found out her past with Jin.

After much consideration and consultation with her family members, Byulyi chose to pick up the offer and decided to leave the company where she had worked since her graduation.

"Shoot. Why are you back in the town when Jin is still in the capital?"

"We broke up." Byulyi replied. She could not bring herself to lie to the elder one, given that she was so supportive of them when they first got together.

"Mwo?! What happened?" The blonde haired lady exclaimed before covering her mouth. She momentarily forgot that no one else in the house knew about Jin and Byulyi.

Byulyi shook her head, unsure how to reply to Yongsun's question.

"Is it that brother of mine?" Yongsun questioned again. "It must be him. I knew it. That idiot."

"Unnie. It's okay."

"Why are your eyes swollen and nose red if it is really okay? It is clearly not okay, my lady!" Yongsun complained. "Let me whack some sense into him."

"Unnie." Byulyi said with plead from her eyes. "I'm good."

"You sure?" Yongsun replied. "You don't have to take my feelings into consideration. I standby whoever that is right!"

"It probably just hurts because it was my first love?"

Yongsun sighed as she sat down next to the younger female, extending her arms to give the lady a hug. "It will be fine, Byul ah."

"I have resigned from the company." Byulyi murmured after getting her composure back. "And will be heading to Country A in two weeks' time."

"Are you running away from him? From me? From my family?"

Byulyi shook her head in disagreement. "No, I am not."
