Story 7

"Mdm Im, can you set the table for dinner? Naeun and Jin has arrived." The female owner of the house said.

"Madam, Mister isn't back yet." The helper replied. "So is Miss Byulyi and her...."

"Mister will arrive shortly." The female did not allow her helper to complete her sentence. "We will start first."

Mdm Im nodded in acknowledgement, knowing that the personality of the lady whom she had been serving since young. The lady would not change her mind after deciding on it. She sighed as she disappeared into the kitchen. 

"Come, Jin. Have a seat at the table. Your uncle will return soon. We will have our meal first."

"Eomma, what about Unnie? Is she coming back?" Naeun asked. 

"We will start without her." Mrs Moon said with a slightly frustrated tone.

Naeun turned to look at the guest of the house, apologising to him for her mother's not so polite tone.

Jin thought he saw the irk on Naeun's mother's face, for a split second. He was puzzled on the elderly's reaction upon hearing the name of her eldest child. 

The trio had started on the food when the main door was opened.

"Appa!" Naeun greeted after seeing her father. Jin also greeted the male shortly after Naeun did. 

"Unnie! You are back! It has been long since I last met you. I miss you so much!" The younger female was elated when she saw the elder female. 

Both girls used to be close from young. They always dressed in similar outfits and played together. Naeun was not sure when but her elder sister became more distant as they grew up. Was it middle school? Or was it high school? She could not remember. But she knew she missed the days when her sister would hangout with her. 

She loved her elder sister a lot. Although, it seemed like it was not mutual. 

"Eomma." Byulyi greeted softly. 

It was then both Naeun and Jin saw another male next to Byulyi. As much as they were perplexed by the male's presence in the house, they remained silent as the trio sat down at the table with them.

 The room was filled with silence until Mr Moon spoke.

"Naeun, Jin, you two are going to be engaged soon and we will all be one family." Mr Moon started speaking. "Let me introduce to you formally. This is Hanhae, your brother-in-law."

Naeun's eyes widened in shock. She then turned to the male sitting next to her. 

Jin was in the same state as Naeun. Or probably in a worse condition than the female. He felt that someone tore his heart away the moment he heard Mr Moon's last sentence.

"This is Hanhae, your brother-in-law."

"This is so sudden. Unnie, is Appa joking?" Naeun said as she looked at Byulyi, as though their father made a mistake.

"Naeun, don't be rude. Why would I be joking over such matter?" Mr Moon said in a stern tone. 

"But this is so sudden...."

However, Mr Moon did not continue the conversation with his youngest child. Turning to the other male at the table, he said. "Come, Hanhae. Make yourself at home."

Jin could not describe his feelings when he saw how the other male was interacting with Byulyi, the sister of his supposedly fiance.

And she was supposedly the love of his life.
