Damian stared down at the dark streets of Gotham. It had rained and was still raining. Everything was soaked. Damian let out a soft sigh and watched his breath form a cloud in the air. He looked up and stared at the sky. When was the last time he had seen the sun, the stars? Anything but Gotham's gloomy dreerey wet sky. He blinked a few times and wiped the water from his face his eyes once again sweeping over the city he was ment to patrol.

Damian slowly got to his feet and walked to the center of the roof. Like everything else it was dirty and damp. Damian scoffed at the sight and kicked a puddle that had formed. He watched the water fall back to the ground for a while. Damian quietly looked back out at the city before he dropped onto a balcony below him. Damian let out a soft sigh walking into the building he walked to his fathers desk and sat down.

Damian picked up a picture frame quietly and stared at it. It was a picture of his father holding him as a baby his mother was close by. He slowly put it back and leaned back in the chair letting out another long sigh. He picked up a paper and a pen and began to write

"Dearest Father,
By the time you are reading this I have left. I do not know where I am going yet but I know its away from these dreery streets. I will be come back eventually once I have a home to obtain Goliath. Gotham has nothing to offer me. And I tire of rain. Rain and snow. Father I dont know how to say my thoughts face to face to you. And I dont believe you will understand. I care very deeply for you, Richard, and Alfred. But I feel trapped in Gotham. You will probably find me very quickly. As I expect the 'worlds best detective' to do. But I do hope you will understand why I am doing this. I wish to see the sun. Something clean. Something other than these rodent infested filthy streets of Gotham. I am and always will be Damian Wayne. But I feel that I need to find myself. And to do that father I must leave Gotham. I will have my card. You will be able to find me if you really needed or wanted to. I love you father.
Your son,
Damian Al-Ghoul Wayne"

Damian folded the letter quietly and leaned it against the picture. He got up and let out a sigh again. Damian walked to the elevator and took it to the ground floor quietly walking out of the building and down the road. Damian pushed his hands in his pockets and stared at thw puddles on the ground as he passed them.

Damian stared at the bus station silently his thoughts running rampant. He shook his head and slowly walked away. He walked the long road silently unwilling to turn back to that dark place that Gotham had become. The clouds felt like deep heavy weights always keeping him down. He had to escape.

Damian pulled his hood up and sighed softly as he stopped at his fathers driveway. He summoned one of the cars with his phone and waited as it pulled out of the gates. Damian got in and turned the heat on quietly taking the keys from above the visor.

Damian drove silently watching the road. He glanced to the road signs then back to the road quietly tapping his fingers against the wheel. He mumbled softly "Amestris?" He turned onto the exit ramp and parked at a hotel quietly getting out. He quietly walked inside locking his car. He got himself a room and paid for it.

Damian quietly went to his room and looked out the window looking to the sky. He softly whispered "its so blue." He looked down to the road and then around his room. He quietly walked back outside and down the road pausing as he walked back to his car taking his sword off his back he held it for a moment then sighed and shook his head walking off as he put the sword back onto his back.
