Upon the death of her father (Steve Rogers [Captain America]) she ran away from her uncles and aunt. Feeling as though they wouldn't understand her. She began to learn how to shoot her gun soon after mostly as a way of defending herself. While working as a bounty hunter she keeps tabs on her old family through the news. She's very aware of their actions but tries to keep a low profile. After one of her uncles found her she set off on a run again. Hiding from them as best as she could. She ran into a small white cat and soon became attached to it naming it snowball.
