REECEMonday's. Don't you just love Monday's?— Waking up to start yet another joyful-and-not-at-all-painful week of school.
And you know what makes waking up on a Monday even lovelier?
Waking up on a Monday and discovering that your period has started.
Just fan-fucking-tastic, isn't it?
Incessant bleeding and intolerable stomach cramps— what an absolute wonderful way to start my week off.
I hope my sarcasm has been well-noted.
I couldn't even dwell on the excruciating pain in my stomach for long because my horrible luck this morning had quickly gotten worse. I looked towards my alarm clock just to realize that school started in twenty minutes which only gave me ten minutes to get ready and get out of the house. It seemed I had forgotten to set my alarm last night.
"Shit!" I cursed loudly before ripping the covers off my body and sprinting towards my bathroom.
I quickly did my business, brushed my teeth, tied my hair up, put a ton of deodorant on, changed into a new pair of clothes and spritzed some body spray on since I didn't have time to shower. I was somehow able to do all of that within seven minutes. When I was done, I grabbed my bag and phone before bolting out of my room and banging repeatedly on Sammy's door.
"Sammy! Sammy, please tell me you're up, we have to leave in like three minutes!" I yelled frantically.
"I am up," came my brother's calm reply from behind me.
"Why didn't you wake me?" I hissed.
"I only woke up ten minutes ago, you were already in the bathroom when I came into your room," he explained nonchalantly.
"Okay, let's just go, you're all set right?" I asked as I began jogging down the stairs.
"Yeah, but I'm hungry," he whined, on cue his stomach grumbled, he frowned and patted it sadly, I sighed.
"Bring something that you can eat along the way," I suggested, he didn't waste anytime and rushed towards the kitchen to find something. "Hurry up!" I shouted to him as I made my way to the front door and yanked it open. I stopped dead in my tracks when my face nearly collided with someone's chest.
"Woah!" Came Wesley's response as he quickly placed his hands on my shoulders and gave me a once over. "Did you wake up late or something?" He asked once he took in my disheveled form.
"What are you doing here?" I shot him a question of my own instead of answering his, I'm sure it was quite obvious that I was having a rough morning.
"That's not the greeting I was expecting," he said with a frown. "I thought since we worked things out I could start driving you guys to school again," he explained, the frown still etched into his features.
"Oh," I quickly shot him an appreciative smile and stood on my tippy toes to peck his cheek in silent thanks. "Sorry, it's been a rough morning." I sighed and grimaced when the cramps I had intensified. Wesley must have noticed because his expression morphed into one of concern as he inspected me carefully.
