KAIDEN'S PERSPECTIVE:
An invisible force pummelled into his chest and Kaiden's lungs felt as if they have been crushed, now crumbling against his ribcage. The feeling almost stole his consciousness, instead, doing something worse. Dizziness forced his vision the blur so viscously that his stomach repelled its contents. He crouched, retching up bile before simply dry heaving into the undergrowth. It was a mercy when he was forced onto his back and he lay, panting until his chest cramped. He stared at the thick canopy above but barely saw it. When his mind cleared slightly and he could think back to before...this, fear forced in him enough energy to kneel.
Peering around, he realised he was in a fern-blanketed forest with laendra glinting like silver stars in a sky of greenery. There was only one place laendra grew and that was in Meya. Yet again, the air was forced out of him by a force he could only describe as a brick wall he could not see.
Simultaneously, he knew why he couldn't shake the prickling feeling of being watched.
