Chapter 4

It was 2am in the morning; Jake got out of bed and woke me up. “come on get changed we leave in ten minutes” I got up and went to his bathroom, I put on some black Aeropostale sweats, one of Jake’s shirts he gave me, and then went out, “Jake can I borrow a sweater?” I asked. “ya sure here” he said grabbing a sweater, once we were dressed we quietly went down stairs and grabbed some fruit. We headed to the door until I said “wait can I bring Scout?” Jake looked at me and said “Sure I can bring Ace too” I nodded and we went to his barn, “Scout??” I called…. A few seconds later Scout came and I put on his leash. “Ace come here boy” Jake called, and a German Shepherd just like Scout came. Jake put his leash on and we went out. We were wondering the streets and Jake said he had a friend that would help us find my family but his friend wasn’t at the meeting place AKA the park. “Well I don’t know where he is” Jake said “maybe he got grounded?” I said “I dunno but its weird the park is really quiet, especially at this time.”  “Umm Jake its 3am no one should be here.” “Actually there is usually drunkards wondering around” he said. I looked around and I had this feeling as if someone was watching us, I looked down at Scout and he was alert, it seemed like he felt it too. “Jake?” I said, he turned around and said “Ya?” he sat down beside me and Ace sat down with Scout. “I think someone’s watching us” “What do you mean?” he asked “Me and Scout think someone’s watching us” I am like really scared, its dark and no one is in the park, plus Scout is on edge, I’m just glad that Jake is here. Jake looked around and said “Wait…..” And then we saw a figure move. “Run” is all Jake said and he didn’t need to say it twice, I got up and ran, Jake, Ace, Scout, and me all ran. I looked behind us and the figure was chasing after us. “Jake their following us.” He looked behind and said, “come on” he pulled me in the direction of downtown. We were running and I felt like collapsing, “Jake I cant run any longer” I said, Jake looked behind and the figure was still chasing us but this time he had four friends. We ran faster, I wonder how Scout is running so I looked down and Scout and Ace were running fine. But I wasn’t I felt like my legs were jello and Jake noticed that, “here” he said and we ran into an ally, well that was a horrible idea, why? Because we ran into a dead end “Great Jake” I told him and looked at him but I froze “What?” he said. I pointed behind him, he looked and saw a big guy with a gun in his hand. Jake looked back at me. I looked down and four other guys had Scout and Ace held up, I looked back at Jake and inched closer so I could hold onto him. The Five guys that were chasing us ran into the alley and saw us, they walked over behind the guy that was pointing a gun at us, and they pulled out a pistol each and pointed it at us. “alright now keep quiet and follow us, or else the little lady gets hurt” I looked up to jake and he just held onto me, one of the guys came and said “move” he pushed us and brought us over to a van. We got in and they threw Ace and Scout into the van. I was in the corner and Jake came over and picked me up, and set me down on his lap. “Jake im scared” I whispered to him, “hey its alright” he said and he hugged me, I started to cry, Scout and Ace came over and sat beside us .”What now?” I asked Jake “well to be honest I don’t know but one thing I do know is that I wont leave you.” ”promise?” I said and he said “ya I promise I won’t leave you” in nodded and leaned back down on him. It was quiet till we stopped. I looked up at Jake and he said “I promise I won’t leave you, no matter what” I nodded and the van doors opened. “get over here” we heard a voice say and then a hand grabbed my wrist “ahh” I said and Jake jumped up and punched the guy. “hey” he said and then two guys grabbed Jake and pulled him out. I got pulled out and they had two cages for scout and Ace. They grabbed the dogs with some gloves and Scout, Ace were fighting, barking, and biting the guys. Eventually they got the dogs into the cages; they pulled us into a warehouse. I looked over to Jake, he had two guys holding him down, he looked at me, and he stopped fighting the men holding him down. The people who were holding us took us to a room and tied us to chairs, they put the dogs cages by the wall, one said “wait here” and the five guys left leaving me, Jake, Scout, and Ace alone in the room. I looked over to Jake and noticed he had a split lip, “Jake your lip” I said he looked at me and said “I know” and looked down. “Jake look at me” I said, he looked up into my eyes and I said “we need to just do what they say and then we might just get out of here” I looked into his eyes, they were green; the most amazing eyes ever, I could just stare at them all day. “but still they were hurting you” he said “Jake I know but I can’t see you get hurt” I looked away and tried to get my hand free. Once I did I grabbed his hand, “I cant stand watching the one I love get hurt” I said he looked at me and said “you love me?” I blushed and said “ya I do, I know its stupid but I do” “no its not stupid cause I love you too” he said. We just sat there holding hands and looking at each other until the door opened, we let go and I squeezed my hand back into the ropes. “alright lets move. He picked our chairs up and put it on a trolley, he left the cages with the dogs in the room, “where are you taking us?” Jake asked “the boss” Jake looked over to me and smiled a little, I guess he could tell I was scared out of my mind. 

We got to a room where there was hoses all around, the man picked up our chairs and out them down. In front of us were two hoses pointing right at us, I looked over to Jake and he looked at me, “well, well, well. Who is this? Destiny Martin?? And Jake Stott???” a voice said, seconds later a man came and stood on the platform. I looked at Jake and then back to the man, “what do you want?” Jake said, “oh I just want the girl, I could care less about you” the man said, “Wait who are you?” I asked. “oh how rude of me, my name is Jacob Sterling, Personal friends with Thomas Mclaire, he hired me to find you” I looked over to Jake and he said “well what are you gunna do with her?” “well in a few days Thomas should be here and I will get my bounty” I looked down to my shoes and Jacob said “till then I have full ownership over anything I do to you two, and your dogs might I add.” He walked over to me and lifted my face up and said “look at me when I’m talking, or else consequences will be made” and he slapped me across the face. I screamed in pain and I could hear Jake yelling, I looked at Jacob. “that’s much better now in the next  few days I’m the one in charge which means you listen to me, there will be no eating unless instructed too, no talking unless instructed too, and well don’t do anything unless instructed too. You will obey every command my men ask, if you don’t they have full permission to harm you.” And he just walked away. A man came and and brought us back to the room, he untied the ropes, checked us to make sure we didn’t have anything, then walked out of the room, and locked it. Jake walked over to a corner and sat down, I walked over to him and sat down beside him, “Jake” I said, “hmm” he looked over to me “whats going to happen to us?” “ I don’t know for sure” he said, he grabbed my hand, and I put my head on his shoulder.

Oh My God! its snowing here!!! we got about an inch of snow already :( 

why am i telling you guys this.... oh well! 

Ok so i leave in 10 days!!!! so i can finish posting and i can write more before i leave!
