Tommy trudged back to his room; he hated people constantly talking and discussing things without him there. Especially when it's about him.

The door was opened and shut for him as he entered his quarters.

'I wish I could slam that door, I can't even do that. No, no Dad wouldn't want me causing a scene. No, it's childish anyways, come on, this whole situation is to prove I'm not! Fuck I need to get out of my head. Well, it's not like there's anything of much else to do...'

Tommy paused his train of though for a moment, noticing his drapes blowing in the breeze through the balcony door. He walked towards it and ventured out into the fading light, ensuing he closed the glamorous glass doors behind him.

His hands firmly grasped the railings as he slumped over them, letting his head rest.

Before long, he spotted a few guards patrolling on the palace walls a few hundred feet in front, as well as many bustling about the parade square.

'Looks unusually busy...'

He promptly straightened up and instead turned his gaze to the skyline: the sprawling city had houses stretching out to what seemed like the horizon. Many small tufts of smoke could be seen rising from their chimneys which always made Tommy wonder who these people were and what kind of lives they lead. Were they all gathered around the fire for warmth on a chill winter's evening? Or perhaps cooking something delicious as a treat?

Tommy would never know.

He sighed and stretched his arms above his head, wanting rest. He'd done enough thinking for now.

Without hesitation, he hastily threw his boots off and jumped onto his lavish four poster bed.

'I'm sure no-one will notice if I take a quick nap, supper is a few hours away sooo...'

Exhausted from the duel with his brother, Tommy fell asleep without trouble...

~~~~~
After what seemed like just a few minute Tommy jolted awake to a sharp knocking on the door from his attendant: "You Royal Highness, supper is being served in thirty minutes, may I come in?"
"Of course." Tommy groaned and rolled over to the side of the bed, placing his feet on the floor.
After seeing him like this, the attendant gave him a frown, but still came over and sorted out his formal attire for the evening and proceeded to help him dress. Around 20 minutes later he was ready.
"Oh I should mention also, we will have to have to avoid the courtyard on our way for obvious reasons". Tommy turned to look at him slightly confused, but nodded not thinking much of it.
After a quick trip through the palace corridors Tommy had reached the family dining room.It featured an enormously high ceiling with curved wooden beams that were exquisitely decourated. Many golden chandeliers lit up the dark oaken table and the numerous paintings of previous aristocrats that lined the ornate walls.
Tommy always admired the chandeliers as he walked in, but grew tired of the dusty old paintings and other such ornaments. He quickly glanced at them, but focused on taking his seat across from Techno at the table. Wilbur was seated at one end and signalled for them to begin eating, now that Tommy had arrived.
It was felt oddly quiet when Phil wasn't around, even with Tommy's laughter frequently echoing down the halls as he told frequent 'jokes' while they ate.
Tommy eventually piped up, asking what all the fuss around the palace is about.
"Guys, what's actually going on around here, I've been kept completely in the dark, and while I'm at it, what's going to happen to me?" He spoke quickly and got straight to the point.
The idle chatter of the brothers quickly dissipated as the more serious topic was brought up.
"You haven't heard? I suppose that makes sense. Well, Dad's coming home rather soon."
"Wait, WHAT?! You guys said he'd be months! I can't- you guys are actually the worst, there's no question about it."
"Oh and one last thing." Wilbur started,"So, you're aloud out, chaperoned, and not beyond the walls. You're still to behave, understood?"
Tommy's face had a mixture of emotions on it, his eyes definitely lit up, upon hearing he could go outside again, and he wasn't really bothered by the other limits on his excursions. He just disliked the tone in Wilbur's voice as he said it.
"I understand." Tommy stated plainly. "I'll behave, but can I-" see Tubbo. Is how he wanted to finish his sentence, deciding not to at the last second. "Never mind."
Techno gave him a suspicious glance, but quickly went back to eating his food.
"Good to hear." Wilbur replied,"And sorry for being like this, I don't enjoy it if that means anything."
"Thanks I guess..." Tommy trailed off staring into his food.
Out of nowhere he stood straight up, his chair almost falling behind him, and he swiftly left the room. He speed-walked through the twisting corridors and all the way back to his room.
After closing the door behind him he breathed a sigh of relief.
'Thank God that's over...'
Tommy took a moment to contemplate his next actions. Should he try to contact Tubbo? 'Perhaps not yet.' He thought.
His thoughts eventually landed upon the work set to him by his tutors, he walked over to his cluttered desk and picked up a book he was supposed to read by the end of the week. It was a rather thick leather book about tactics.
Tommy somehow found the willpower to read and stubbornly began turning the pages.
~~~~~

A while later Tommy had pretty much given up on the book, however he was slightly proud of himself for reaching page 30.He slumped over on his desk, lifting his chin up just enough to stare out of the window in front of him.

As his mind wandered, he heard a quiet rustling by the door, curious, he perked up and looked over at it. A slightly crumpled, small envelope was shoved under it and popped out, lying on the wooden floor eagerly waiting to be read.

The muffled sounds of movement quickly dissipated down the hall.

Without hesitation Tommy made his way over and opened the letter:

Hey Tommy,

Sorry if my spelling is off, I've been moved to the interior of the castle, so I should be able to sea you more! It was all realy sudden so I'm not sure what's going on but it seems good! I'll be waiting by the north tower's staircase tomorrow at maybe 9pm if you can make it.

Bye for now!

Your Tubbo :)

Tommy smiled to himself, then tucked the note safely away in his trouser pocket and gazed out of his window towards the north tower, the moon casting a small glint in his bright blue eyes...
