Chapter Five: Recovery!

Slowly, his removed his hand from mine and carefully picked up the wine glass with his other hand and just before he could place the glass goblet to his lips, I snatched it from his grasp and drank the remaing contents of the goblet and placed it back on the table. Oberyn turned to face me, his eyes glared at me.

"You're quite the cheek little dragon, nobody drinks my wine as it was made specially for me and only me.''

I nod my head and lie back down onto the pilliow and stare at the ceiling. The room is filled with silence for many minuets until i decided to speak.

"Im sorry my prince Oberyn have i angered the snake inside of thee?''

''You have, though don't fret princess, the main thing is your ok and that's all im thankful for!''

We talked for a couple more hours, mostly about me growing up in Kings Landing.

''So tell me who was your best friend, someone you felt you could trust?'' Oberyn said.

''His name is Jaime Lannister, brother to Cersei and and Tyrion''. I said eagerly.

''Tell me your joking, a lion really?'' Oberyn said sceptically.

''I'm not joking, why? What's wrong with me being close friends with Jaime huh?''

I could tell that he wasn't impressed about it as he murmured to himself. I could tell that he knew I was botherd by his reaction, even though I tried my best not to show it. He places his hands into mine once again and turned to me.

''My little dragon, princess (Y/N), your not alone in this, and I shall never let any one hurt you again, you have my word on that, do you understand?''

I nodded my head eagerly, as he pulled me closer towards him. His soft lips brush against mine so gently it felt like velvet. Then the bedroom door crashed open. Scarlett came rushing in, her face bright red as she looked upon me in pure shock. Oberyn quickly pulled away from me smirking.

The maid still tooken aback runs towards me and hugs me tight. Obviously confused, I turn to her and say

''Scarlett has something happened? Why are you so shocked?'' I questioned her.

''Milady we all thought you were dead, I got told you had been killed and so I immidiatley came here to see you alive and thank goodness you are!''

"Why thank you, yes I didnt know what had happend to me as I had hit my head while trying to run away,''

And then another pair of running footsteps were heard as Doran walks in. He rushed over to me Holding me close. "My princess are you ok? I'm sorry I wasnt there to protect you can you forgive me?''
Just I was about to reply Oberyn stepped in.

''Well well brother so kind of you to finally show up, WHERE THE IN THE SEVEN HELLs WERE YOU!? AS A KING IT IS VITAL TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT YOUR QUEEN YET THATS ONE THING YOU SEEM TO BE UNCAPABLE OF DOING!''

''WELL I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR HER BUT-"

''BUT WHAT! HOW CAN WE PROMISE AND ENSURE HER SAFTEY HERE WHEN SHE IS GETTING ATTACKED OUT OF KNOWHERE?''

''BROTHER NOW IS NOT THE TIME NOR PLACE TO BE DISCUSSING THIS MATTER ESPECIALLY NOT INFRONT OF (Y/N)!!''

Oberyn cackled to himself before turning to face the window. ''Oh I see. So this is how you want to play, trying to avoid the situation, oh no you don't,''

I could see the anger filling up in Doran's eyes as he tried his best to remain calm. ''See brother this where you are mistaken. Im not trying to avoid the situation. I'm considering the fact that my soon to be wife almost died and the last thing she wants to hear is us squabbling right infront of her. Let's just drop this and if it helps I'll just leave the room," Just before doing so he turns to me and kisses me on the cheek.

''I shall come and return to you my love,"' As he turns once more to the door leaving me alone with Oberyn once more.

At his point, Oberyn had now been pacing the room for a good five minuets already. Then he turns to me and stares into my eyes and smiles. ''I shall see you again little dragon,'' And he swiftly left the room closing the door behind him, leaving me to my many thoughts. I stared at the ceiling. I could hear Scarlett preparing my bath for me. I adored Scarlett, and I decided to make her my best friend. Although we didnt share much in common it's our differences which bonded our friendship. She came in helping me up and directed me towards the privy chamber. I can see on the side is another firey coloured dress which layed on the side of the bath. As I finish off bathing myself, I stare out of the open window to hear birds tweeting and the lovley sunset which lit up my locks of hair. I call for Scarlett to help me out of the bath and she comes running in.

''Dinner will be about five minutes, do you want any?'' Scarlett asked.

''Not tonight no, I'm not really feeling hungry to be honest with you, instead I'll think ill have an early night,'' I replied.

Scarlett quickly nodded and hurried out of the room to let me finish getting ready for bed.

By the time my hair had fully dried it was dark outside. I drew the curtains in my room across and headed into bed. The sheets smelled like fresh flowers picked out of a meadow. I decided to pick one of the books off my bookshelf to read to make me feel more tired. What felt like not even thirty minuets later, a knock on the door was heard. Thinking it was Doran I sat up hastily and told him to enter. I couldn't of been more wrong. It was Oberyn. He stood there all dominant, in his golden robe, which was again embroidered in red patterns.

''So you didn't come doen to join us for dinner, little dragon. Was there a particualr reason for that?''

''Sorry no, I wasn't feeling like eating at all tonight, hope you didnt mind my lack of attendance,''

''It's fine, don't fret. I brang you up an apple incase you change your mind,''

I didn't want to seem rude so I took the apple from his hand. His hand brushed mine ever so slightly and made me feel warm inside. But ignored it and took a bite out of the apple. It was very sweet and tasty so it didn't take long for me to eat.

''I came to apologise for my outburst with my brother today, it was wrong of me to behave in such a manner,'' Oberyn said.

''It's fine, honestly, I wasn't really paying attention as I was half asleep anyway,'' I said. He warmly smiled at my response.

''I wanted to know if you would like some comapny tonight, for reassurance reasons?'' Oberyn asked me.

''Oh, well I guess it wouldn't hurt. I have been quite lonely these past couple of nights. I belive it is just the overwhelming feeling of missing home,''

''Yes I understand, well I shall see you in the morning, goodnight little dragon,'' Oberyn said kissing me on the forhead, gentley holding my hand before climbing into the other side of my bed.

''Goodnight,'' I replied whilst yawning.

I blew out the candle light allowing darkness to fill the room.

''Oberyn, would you mind if I held your hand?'' I asked.

''Not at all,'' He said

He grabs my hand as I grab his. He squeezes mine tighter making me smile... and slowly... I drift....into a deep sleep...once...more...
