"What the hell are you doing here?" I shouted before I could control myself.

"I needed to see you," Anna didn't seem to be fazed in the slightest by my outburst. Sometimes, her endless optimism could be a pain. I knew North was probably staring at my sister and I, but I honestly didn't care. I had to get Anna to safety before something happened.

"You needed to see me? As in, you just missed me that much? Are you crazy, Anna?" I scowled at her.

"No. It's important, Elsa," Anna tugged at my sleeve, and I flinched, backing up a few steps.

Memories crowded into my head. A streak of white hair-

I cut myself off. I needed to focus.

"Could you give us a moment alone?" I asked North.

"Of course," he nodded and exited the office. I supposed it was only polite. He probably had some sort of magical object or power that would allow him to listen in to our conversation though.

"Explain, now," I said testily to Anna.

"Mother and Father want you dead," Anna said rather bluntly.

My eyes widened. "What else is new?"

"I was listening in on one of their conversations. They talked about how they had a plan to kill you. Grandfather Pabbie was also involved. Mother and Father said he was killed. I stole a letter from them that should explain it all. Also, they said a lot of stuff about a Kelpie and war."

Anna reached into the pocket of her dark green cloak and pulled out a roll of parchment. She handed it to me, her bright green eyes wide with concern.

Grandfather Pabbie was dead? War was coming? It was no surprise that Iduna and Agnarr wanted me dead though.

"Aren't you going to read it?" Anna gestured towards the letter.

"Yes. Did you already read it?" I eyed her suspiciously.

"No. I was waiting for you."

Well, that was unexpected. I pulled the piece of twine that kept the parchment rolled up.

Rulers of Arendelle-

By the time you get this letter, it will be too late. I do not have much time, but I will explain everything that I know. Firstly, the Kelpie was not released. Avan was working for a man named Kynes. He took the aegis and used it to unleash Pitch Black. You have not heard of him. He is the fifth god, and the most dangerous one of all. The world is in danger. You'd best shore up your defenses and make plans to flee in case the Elites cannot stop him.

Pitch was once considered one of the gods, but the Black War broke out when he began abusing his powers. He nearly killed the rest of the gods. I do not know why. At this time, there was a lot more magic-users, and with the gods help, they were able to banish Pitch. The Elites were given a mandate to protect the world from anymore threats.

The past is not what you think it is. The Midnight Ages are a lie. The Elites have told so many lies, and I have been a part of them all.

During the Black War, Pitch had a fanatic, religious cult. They called themselves the Dark Moons. I believe they are still around today. They are a secret, dangerous organization that practices illegal magic. Kynes and Avan are part of them.

War is coming, and the Elites know it. The magic-users are taking sides; it's civil war. The troll clan is mutinying against me since they wish to join Pitch. They do not know him like I do.  I cannot hold them off much longer as they want to kill me for my refusal. I send this letter in hopes that you will be able to stay alive.
