[Nanami]Time

You were just a normal person, you had a normal job at a small coffee shop, and you had an easy going life with your husband Nanami.

Yes him, he was very stoic and blunt but you still loved him even if he acted the same way all the time.

Currently you had been forced to stay longer than intended because you had one of those customers that came in at the last minute and demanded for come coffee, well more like asked for it nicely and you couldn't say no to an old man maybe in his 80s, you were like that.

The real problem at hand though was that Nanami liked to keep things on a schedule so he wouldn't like how you had to come home late.

The old man took his time and watched the scenery outside with his coffee at hand while you cleaned up the rest of the shop.

Once the elderly slowly made his way out of the shop you quickly cleaned up his dish since you cleaned everything earlier and then cleaned up his table before taking off your apron.

You then turned off all the machines, two minutes, then put the chairs up, five minutes, locked the employee door, one minute, and finally flipped the sign to closed and locked the shop, three minutes.

The coffee shop wasn't far from your house so you walked home of course in a rush but once you got to your door you looked at your phone to see multiple missed phone calls and that you were eighteen minutes late.

Your walk took seven minutes because the sidewalks were a little bit busy so it made you even more late than you needed to be.

You mumbled under your breath as you quickly took out your phone to see you had many missed calls from your husband.

It made you feel guilty for not picking up his phone calls as you had your phone on silent as to not disrupt anyone's business.

You quickly walked up the steps to your house and went to grab the doorknob only to have the door swing open and you looked up to see Nanami in a distressed state.

His hair was disheveled, tie not even on right as if he was in the middle of taking it off, his watch not on him and the worried look he wore.

This made you feel even worse for not picking up the calls because he was always calm so seeing him like this worried you a lot.

You didn't get to do anything before he pulled you into the house, locked the door and hugged you tightly before sliding to the floor, back to the door, with you in his embrace.

You hugged back lightly before you were able to pull back from his hug only to see him with a hand to his heart while the other one held the back of your shirt lightly. You looked at him as he said, "You're late."

You nodded and said sadly, "I got one of the customers that came in at the last minute and took their time with their drink so I couldn't be home on time. I'm sorry honey."

He shook his head as he said, "I thought something happened to you, you scared me (Y/N)."

You gave him a hug as you just sat there in each other's embrace as he calmed down quickly afterwards seeing you were in fact ok and he had nothing to worry about.

Once he calmed down you pecked his cheek and said, "Would you like some coffee dear?" He nodded and said, "Yes please."

That was the last time you were ever late to get home, you never wanted to see your husband break down like that ever again.
