"Are those all of the boxes Maddie?" My mom calls up the stairs "Yeah I think so!"I yeall back down. My life in Florida is over. California here I come. I'm about to break down into tears again for the third time today, and then I hear the only person I love call my name. "Mason" I whisper. I shoot down the stairs and run out of the front door right into his arms. "Please,Please,Please Mason take me with you! I don't wanna go!" I sob into his shirt. He cups my face into his hands and kisses me soundly. I drop my arms to my side , then find myself snaking them around his neck. After the kiss he says , " It's going to be alright Maddie, O.K?" I nod my head but he doesn't buy it, so he kisses me again. " I mean it Maddie, we can still talk through texting and calling, and I promise I'll write to you evey week! How does that sound?" "Better, but what would make it perfect is if I didn't have to go." I whisper. He pulls me into a hug, and I never want to let go, but my Mother calls for me to get into the car. Mason kisses my forehead before whispering " I love you." "Love you more." I say. He kisses me again before letting go and saying, " Love you the most." I can't hold back the tears anymore, so Iet them spill over and on to my cheecks. I walk back to the car and get in , not saying a word to my mother. My mom gets in the car and we pull off , leaving everytihing I've loved behind...
