AUSTIN'S P.O.V.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Ugh... I smack the alarm clock snooze down really hard.Did I just make a really big mistake? Giving up an empire that took my momther and my father years to build? And all of this over a freakin' girl?
Swinging my legs over the side of the bed, I get up and walk over to my dresser.
I pick out the normal " I've got my life in check" outfit, and I head downstairs for breakfast.
"Hey sweetie! Did you get some good sleep last night?" "Yeah... It was a little hard to sleep..." My mom gives me the " I'm so sorry to hear that" look, and I pop a piece of toast into my mouth. "Well mom, love you, but I have to go. I have an appointment." "Alright then, make sure you don't come home too late!"
She gives me a quick peck on the cheek, and I'm out the door.On my way to Madison's house.
MADISON'S P.O.V.
I really can't shake these jitters! I've been getting them since I woke up this morning, and they're still bothering me!
I'm downstairs with my mom sitting on the couch, watching the news. Then the doorbell rings.
"I'll get it mom!" I jump off of the couch and walk over to the front door. When I look through the window, Guess who it is!
"Good morning Mr.Mahone! What brings you here?" I totally know what he's doing here."I just came to take my very lovely girlfriend on a picnic at the park, as a matter of factly, she's standing right in front of me. Just waiting to be swept away."
He picks up my hand and plants a kiss on it. "I don't see a single girlfriend in sight, you must have the wrong house!" Calls my mom from the living room.
Austin sighs and laughs. "And a good morning to you to Ms.Scott! How are you this glorious day?"
"I'm fine! Thank you for asking. Now you two go ahead on your date, but no funny business. Understand?" "Of course! Now Lady Madison, your chariot awaits!" "Love you mom!" I call before closing the door.
As we slide into the front seats of the car, I have to laugh. He looks at me like I've got issues.
After a fit of gigglesI ask, "Are you going to do that every time you come to my house?" It doesn't take him two seconds to answer. "Yes." That makes me laugh harder. He just smiles, and pulls out of the driveway. "Are we going to th-" "Yes we are. Now, don't worry about what we're going to do afterwards, O.K?" His face is so serious I nod my head yes instantly.
We pull up to the hospital about thirty minutes later, and I'm feeling really excited. Are we going to be parents? I don't know! But the test will say it all.
Austin and I hop out of the car, and we walk through the door of the hospital hand in hand.
I look behind me at those doors, and relize that if those doors close, my life is forever changed.
And I might not be ready.
