Caroline and Alex

The next day, Caroline was still trying to cope with knowing that one of her closest friends was going to die. When she arrived to school that she found that Taylor had came to school early like she usually did. "Hi Taylor" she said. "Hey Caroline," Taylor said as the two of them walked down the hall "getting the news from my doctor and thinking about life in general, I've realized a few things." "Like what?" asked Caroline. "The fact that you never know when you're going to be gone forever. So you shouldn't have any regrets and any time of your life. For example, how you feel about Alex. You should tell him. So how do you feel about him anyway?" When she said that, Caroline looked at her with hesitation. "Come on," said Taylor "I won't get mad. And I promise that I won't tell a soul." "Okay then," started Caroline "well I really really like him. When we went out to eat, I just couldn't take my eyes off of him. I mean usually everything seems so bland and regular. But with him, somehow it's different. I know I don't really know him that well. But I do know one thing. I just know that I want to be with him." "So do you think you might love him?" asked Taylor. Caroline thought about it, looked at Taylor, and smiled. "I think so" she said. "Well then you need to tell him," said Taylor "if you don't, I just know that you'll regret it later." "Okay I'll tell him today" said Caroline. When she said that, the bell rung signaling the start of advisory. "Well I'll talk to you later" said Taylor. "Okay then," said Caroline "bye Taylor."

Throughout that day, Caroline was thinking of the right way and the right time to tell Alex the way that she felt about him. Finally, after school, she was able to catch up to Alex as he was walking to his car. "Hey Alex" she said. When she said that, Alex turned around to see Caroline. "Oh what's up Caroline?" he asked. "Nothing much," said Caroline "hey can I come over your house? I want to talk to you about something." "Alright," he said "hop in." As they pulled up to Alex's house and entered his home, Caroline noticed that there was one room in the house that was completely empty.

"Hey Alex," she said "why is this room empty?" Alex looked at the empty room and then back at her. "That use to be my parents room" he said. "Use to," she said "what happened to them?" When she asked that, Alex looked at her, shrugged his shoulders, and shook his head "My mom passed away with I was seven," he said "and my dad just left when I was thirteen and never came back." "Oh my god," said Caroline "so you've been living here all alone since then?" "Yep" said Alex. "That's awful" Caroline said. "Well not really," said Alex "I mean yeah it gets lonely from time to time. But I actually like living by myself. I make my own rules. I do what I want when I want to do it. And I come and go as I please." "I guess" said Caroline.

Alex sat down on the couch and started watching tv. Caroline sat down right next to him. "So how do you get money to pay for bills, and food?" asked Caroline. "Don't worry about it," said Alex "so what did you want to talk to me about?" "Well I'm just gonna come out and say it," said Caroline "I love you. I know we don't talk much. But I don't care. I just know I wanna be with you." When she said that, Alex turned off the tv, grabbed her and started kissing her lips. After they were kissing on the couch for about fifteen minutes, Alex picked up Caroline, started walking into his room, and set her down on the bed. At the same time, Caroline started taking off Alex's shirt, and Alex started kissing her neck and unbuttoning her pants. And then shortly after that, Caroline lost her virginity to Alex. A few hours later, it was night time, and Alex and Caroline were still laying in Alex's bed. Caroline, exhausted from her experience and still trying to process what happened, slowly drifting off to sleep with Alex's arms wrapped around her body.
