During the rest of the week before the Easter Holiday Fred could hardly keep his hands off you. All the public displays of affection made you flustered and a little embarrassed at first, but you soon got used to it. Although he had managed to annoy you quite a few times when he would smother you with kisses whenever he sensed Cedric nearby, and especially when any guy stared at you for a little too long. Hermione had briefly complained to you about how you had somehow managed to turn Fred Weasley into a human leech. Fred would however, still have plenty of time for him and George's antics, whether they be an elaborate prank on an unsuspecting Slytherin and other mischievous schemes. You knew they would be planning on a grander one sooner or later to enter the Easter Holiday in full-fledged Weasley style. Your relationship also seemed to be the hottest gossip circling around Hogwarts for the time being, so you could not wait for the weekend to arrive so you could finally leave with Fred for the Burrow.
After the last Potions class off the week, Hermione had ran just as the classes ended to visit the Library once more before it closed for the holidays. You were left behind and were lost in thoughts as you cleared your cauldron and picked up your books. The daydreams about whatever The Burrow might be like became more and more vivid as the days had counted down. As did the worries of what the rest of his family might be like. What if they did not like you? What if they would think you had just enchanted their son with your Veela magic?
You tried to forget about where your thoughts were trailing off as you walked out of the classroom, hardly looking were you were going. As soon as you rounded a corner, you found yourself surrounded. They were seven spiteful looking Slytherins, one of them a dark haired pale girl, who stepped towards you with her arms crossed, looking you up and down where you stood.
"You and Weasley huh? A match made in hell I bet" she laughed, whereas her laughter was only amplified by the echo of the rest of the hoard.
"You're in my way" you replied as you tried moving past her while rolling your eyes.
"I truly mean it, you're absolutely perfect for each other!" she continued, while being egged on by the rest.
"Indeed" you mumbled, as you raised one eyebrow at her.
"A blood-traitor like him and a freak like you, I wonder what hybrid horror your children will turn out as"
Ouch. You took a deep breath, telling yourself you should really stay out of trouble before the Easter Holiday, so as Dumbledore would not change his mind.
"Move" you said sternly, as you tried to push yourself past the hellish hoard of Slytherin girls. But she did not move and neither did anyone else. So, you smiled, and without even really trying you levitated up from the ground to their grand astonishment. Carefully flattening down your skirt as you flew across the dungeon corridor, away from their big eyes and gaping mouths. You had never displayed this talent at Hogwarts before now, despite how much more efficient levitating could be than walking, especially around the confusing corridors of the Castle. By the time you had arrived for dinner at the great hall, you were surrounding by younger peers who repeatedly questioned you about the amazing wonderous rumour of which they had just heard. It had clearly spread like wildfire during this short period of time.
"Is it true that you have wings??"
"I heard you're an angel, will you show us too?"
"Holy cricket, there she is the Harpy girl!"
You carefully shut down everyone with a smile, telling them they ought not to believe in everything they hear. Fred did not even bother asking, knowing you could handle it perfectly well yourself. A little later however, as you were walking back to Gryffindor tower after dinner his curiosity finally got the best of him. He looked at you with his eyebrows raised,
