The door to your room creaked open, and Hermione's worried face looked inside only to find you hiding underneath your bed cover. She came inside closing the door behind her with one hand, then putting the plate of food she had brought you on the nightstand. When she sat down on the side of the bed you hid even further away, not wanting anyone to see you like this. So heartbroken, so confused.

"It's been three days Y/n..." she said with a sigh, ever since you had ran out of the Great hall during the welcoming feast after dinner, she had dutifully brought you food and drinks like the good friend she was. Her worry for you had only increased, and you still refused to talk about what had happened. Why your boyfriend, Fred had suddenly seemed to have forgotten about your existence, just a week after you had happily spent time with him at The Burrow.

"I tried to question Harry and Ron about it you know, because they really seem to know something. When you left during the feast, I swear i've never seen anyone look more guilty..." she continued, still sitting with her back towards you.

"The thing is Hermione... I still have no idea what happened either" you suddenly said after a moment of silence. Trying your best to not start crying again, you had truly never felt so awful. And the worst part of it, was that you did not even know what had gone wrong. What on earth could've caused him to have such a quick change of heart? You could never have imagined that Fred would suddenly act so cold, and yet you were not surprised his twin was inn on it either.

"You just take you're time then, Y/n, i'll continue sharing my notes with you until you feel better again, and.. I will get to the bottom of this, so don't worry" Hermione said determined, picking up the plates of only half eaten food from the day before, on her way out again.

As day four arrived and went, you were starting to feel quite numb. You decided that the next day you would return to your classes like nothing had ever happened, keeping your pride as Fred had made it quite clear that whatever this mess was, it was not going to work out. You certainly would not give him the satisfaction of seeing you hurt, so the next morning you found yourself walking confidently down from the girl's dormitory into the common room and out towards the great hall for breakfast.

When you sat down at Gryffindors table next to Hermione you did not even look towards Fred and George, who was sitting a little further up the table. While Hermione was quick to welcome you back, then hastily adding that Black Cat flu was no joke. That was when you noticed that neither Harry nor Ron would dare to look you in the eyes, so you huffed,

"What? You two gits should know I'm obviously no longer contagious or I would not be sitting here would I?" you lied with ease.

After breakfast you had already reached the vital level of annoyance, that could naturally only be dealt with by skipping the first few classes you had for the day. You sat alone at a stone bench outside under the open spring air in the lone courtyard. There you sat in deep contemplation, slowly feeling the tension that had been building up in you towards rather explosive levels, seemed to come down with ease. While you were listening to birdsong and the light breeze rustling through a nearby planted tree.

Your peaceful daydreams were interrupted when another student sat down by your side, none other than Draco Malfoy.

"What do you want?" you asked briskly without turning to look at him.

"Don't flatter yourself" he replied sharply, "I just needed some air"

For a while neither of you said anything at all, while you where contemplating if you had the energy you would need to walk into another courtyard of Hogwarts or to find some lonely place to be just on your own.
