Matti Williams
It took me five fucking hours to do one project about her.
Do you know how many times I wanted to throw my MacBook across my room?
And I had the audacity to make her do all of our work by herself.
I wished that when I woke up this morning I had felt like I had received the full eight hours that my multi million dollar body deserved, but unfortunately it didn't . Those eight hours turned into three hours because thinking, learning, and writing about Naomi's moods were much more important.
I have a lot I needed to accomplish today while trying to avoid Blake Day at all costs.
My childhood best friend was way too stubborn to confront me about his wrong doings and I'm Matti Williams— I don't apologize to anyone.
Except for the tiny brunette, but that was on occasion when she put me in my place, which most of the time was more than deserved.
Naomi Black was the most delicate little flower that I had ever touched and I had the privilege of hearing her bitchy tone everyday.
Although we have two very different goals for the end of college—we still manage to have the same work ethic.
I was envious of her.
We both had goals that we would stop at no costs to achieve.
And that's what I admired about her.
For the past month and a week, the girl that slammed into me outside of my locker room and told me off was the center of my brain functions.
As much as I wanted to tell her that I would start doing my part of our projects—I think it would be more romantic if I just let her find out after the semester was over.
Before I could pull out of the driveway to get to campus this morning my phone was blowing up to the max from my father. It was seven in the morning and I truly could not be arsed to talk to him about some business deal. He was the business guy, he could deal with it.
The fifth time my phone rang I finally decided to answer it because who knows, it could've been an emergency.
"Dad, I'm on my way to class. What's up?" I speak harshly into the receiver.
"Steelers got the first pick," He speaks fast into the phone and I slam on my brakes.
"No way." I say.
"Sounds like you might be going to the steel city," He says, sounding not that impressed. Ugh, here we go.
"Dad. Can you at least try to be happy or even a little bit proud of me for doing something that you couldn't?" I ask with a smart ass tone. I don't give a shit.
