He was everything I had ever wanted but didn't know I needed.

This had been one of the best days of my life and he did it all for me—nothing out of this day had benefited him at all. I played with the necklace in between my fingers. We had devoured the fruit—duh. I was a girlfriend now, I had tamed the untameable.

Without even trying.

But tonight I felt something different, I had felt connected to him in a way I hadn't before—and I wanted to be connected to him in that exact way. Everything had been so perfect, I couldn't even describe the feeling that was running through me.

The necklace was so heartfelt and the fact that he got a pendant of the exact same design that was on my neck made me melt.

For once in my life everything felt like it was slowly piecing together. I had my best friends, the best boyfriend, I'm about to start my dream job. But I felt so guilty because I literally just had my grandparents die—was I supposed to be this happy at this moment, right now?

"Babe," He spoke, spinning me out of my trance. I looked at him, he was smiling at me. I smiled back. "You okay?" He asks as I nod.

"Yeah, just not used to it." I responded. I really wasn't used to it. I felt like I was living a dream. I was living in a fake reality.
