Hope sat on a table at the grill, shaking her leg in fear. She had only liked Josie for a few months, yet this felt perfect. "Can I get you anything?" a waitress asked her. "Not yet, I'm waiting for someone." she said trying not to smile too much. She didn't dress to impress, she was wearing a casual outfit. She had actually prepared it for asking Landon out, but obviously that wasn't something she was even considering at the moment. "Hi." a shy voice came from behind her.

Josie was freaking out. As she sat down a middle aged waitress came over to the table. "Hello ladies, what can I get for you today?" she asked them. "I'll get a blt and a lemonade please." Josie said politely, "Could I get a whiskey and sushi." Hopes answer followed. Josie looked over at her date and tried not to smile, failing miserably. "It's been a while since I've seen you smile, except from the other night." Hope said laughing, "Ok, new rule, no talking about the other night. From the moment I stop talking, we are strangers. Okay Mikaelson?" she said slightly annoyed. "Hi, I'm Hope Mikaelson, it's a pleasure to meet you." she said almost immediately. Josie's smile grew wider. "Josie Saltzman and the pleasures all mine." they shook hands, Josie felt like she was going to explode because she was smiling so much.

When the waitress came over with the drinks, Hope and Josie were deep in conversation. "Thanks, so Hope. I know a lot about you, because of gossip and your father and you being quite an...open person." Josie said to the auburn haired girl. "That you do." she replied taking a sip of her drink. "You on the other hand, I know your a siphon witch and that you are Caroline Forbes daughter, technically." Josie knew about Caroline and Klaus, she didn't think anything was mentioned to Hope about it so she didn't say anything. "I'm not that interesting, honestly, until last year I only had one friend, my own sister." Hope clearly felt bad for Josie as her smile slowly faded. "I don't see why. Your not a bad person." Josie's stomach filled with butterflies. "Hope why are you hanging out with this nerd?" a girl came over to the table. "Alyssa. I'll have you know that Josie isn't a nerd, don't talk to her like that."

Alyssa hadn't left. she was just standing there. Hope was getting more annoyed by the second. "Alyssa, leave us." she said annoyed. "everybody is going to know about this Hope." Hope laughed, she didn't care.

After Josie and Hope finished their meals, it was dark. Music was playing in the grill, Hope stood up and dragged Josie inside. "I don't dance Mikaelson." She said laughing. "Of course you do Josette, everybody dances." They danced for the rest of the night, Hope leading most of the time. "It's 11:45 Hope, we should get back to school." they agreed.

Walking back up to the school, Hope and Josie's hands brushed each other. They ignored it because they didn't want it to get awkward. "So...tonight was fun." Hope said out of the blue, "yeah it was." Josie replied smiling. "And about Alyssa, there's nothing she can do to...stop this." that made Josie smile. "Tell me Hope, what are we?"
