Chapter 16

When the time was right, Josie and Hope went around the school putting up posters for the party. "Just a reminder that I have only been to like 3 parties." Josie said making Hope laugh. "I know, but a party was the reason i fell in love with you. Plus, the party is not the most important thing about this evening. "Right, the most important thing about tonight is making everyone realise how happy we are. Correct?" "perfectly correct, my love." They kissed, and Josie could feel Hope smirking. "MIKAELSON- oh i'll come back later..." Maya said, bursting into the room. "No, no it's fine, I should be going, getting ready for tonight." Josie said leaving the room. "Alright wolfie, why you so happy?" Maya's smile grew wider, "Lizzie and I are making it official, like you and Josie official!" Hope stood up and walked over to her, "Congrats!" she hugged her and Maya hugged back, almost squeezing her to death. "you good hope, you seem...tense" she scoffed, "I'm fine, i'm just worried, what if things don't do to plan." "they will, okay? you and josie are, as i've said before, soulmates. Nothing is going to stop tonight from being perfect."

Once Josie got back to her dorm, she immediately searched for something to wear, before Lizzie got to choose for her. In the end she just chose out a plain dress and stole one of lizzies hand purses. "JOSETTE LUCAS SALTZMAN! Don't think that I didn't see that- but i'll let it slide as tonight is an important night and I care about you..." "I'm glad you understand Lizzie." She replied lightly tapping Lizzies cheek as if she were a grandma. "okay number 1, don't touch my face and number 2, me and Maya are dating. No more questions, I must get my outfit ready, party starts in 20 minutes."

Once Hope arrived, the party had pretty much already begun. She made her way up to where Kaleb and Jed were managing the music, "Listen up salvatore students, tonight we are drinking 'til dawn, we are having the best night of our lives, to celebrate the return of Penelope Park and mine, and my best friend mayas, new relationships." She hopped down from the top of the abandoned house and bared her fangs with a smile. Josie arrived and walked over to Hope, "you look stunning as always." Josie made sure Hope knew. "Dance with me."

After hours of dancing and drinking, Penelope saw how happy Hope had become. "Babe?" "Yes Jo?" "How did this happen?" Hope smiled, "Well you see, I was madly in love with a boy named Landon, but after seeing someone more incredible doing something i never even imagined her doing, i fell in love, i went for advise and things took a turn, and here we are..." "God your both so weird" Alyssa said from behind Josie, "Oh my god shut up." Josie said, siphoning magic from Hope and using it to stop her from talking.

When everyone was leaving the party, Penelope pulled Hope aside, "I'm sorry Hope, I never should have left and doubted your...love life." "It's okay Pen, but please just, stay out of our way." Hope stormed off not wanting to see her old best friend, she had sent a letter to Josie before the party had begun, she told her that they would both watch the sunrise over the hills on top of the old mill.

Hope and Josie sat on the roof of the old mill and stared up at the stars, Josie lay her head on Hopes shoulder and smiled "Hope, I love you, I can't wait to spend my life with you." she stated proudly "I love you too, more that anything, I promise you, nothing will ever come between us ever again."
