It had been a week since the party and Hope couldn't get one thing off her mind, Josie. The short memory of her taking a shot replayed in her head over and over again. She also couldn't stop thinking about her outfit. She wanted to go and see her, she really did, but she was scared. What if she couldn't control herself. She jumped out of bed and threw on a cute outfit. At that moment Maya burst into the door. "Hope! It's a Saturday and your not up!" The girl takes a gulp of her drink, "it's 3:00!!" The next thing they knew water was all over the floor, "Go I'll be there in a minute I just have to...do something." Hope replied, the stutter made Maya unconvinced but she went along with it, she knew what would happen if she didn't.
Josie sat up in her bed. She looked around, why was it so quiet. "SALTZMAN" Hope called running into the room. "What the hell, Hope?!" Josie screamed pulling her duvet up to her shoulders. "What do you want?" Her head was still ringing from all the shouting. "I-" Hope couldn't get the words out. "I don't think...I'm straight" Hope managed to get out. Josie's jaw dropped, the great Hope Mikaelson was coming to Josie for advise! "And you feel this way because?"
"And you feel this way because?" What was Hope meant to say! This wasn't a therapy session, Hope needed genuine advice, she had no idea where this was going. "Well...Someone has recently... caught my attention and... I can't really." She didn't know what to say, normally she doesn't need advice, "I can't get them off my mind." Hope could see Josie laughing under her breathe, "it's not funny! I'm serious Saltzman!" "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" Hope hadn't thought about it. "Just... how did you know you were... well, you know?" Hope saw Josie think about it, "I kissed Grace, my now ex-girlfriend." Now Hope had no idea what to do now. She has no friends that were willing to do that, when she kissed Penelope she felt nothing, but she was very drunk and Pen was her best friend.
Josie sat there watching Hope think. She wanted to know what went through her head, she needed to know. Then Josie noticed something. Hope was looking at her lips, this caught Josie by surprise. Hope put her hand forward and Josie accidentally touched it, Hope let her. They both looked from their hands to each other's eyes. Josie looked straight into Hopes soul. She bit her lip as Hope leaned forward, Josie knew what was about to happen, she wasn't going to pull away now, she couldn't.
Hope felt the heat as she got closer to the brunettes face. As their lips touched, it felt like fireworks were going off. She quickly pulled away, she looked at Josies face and couldn't help herself. She leaned back in and started making out with Josie, it was long and passionate. She pushed Josie down into her bed, the back of the younger girls head was now sunk into the pillow. Hope thought the moment wasn't going to end, she didn't want it to end. Ding. She heard from her phone. She sat up at looked at it, it was Maya. "Shit, I'm sorry I told Maya I'd be with her in a few minutes." She told Josie, "oh no it's fine, really, go." Josie replied. From reading the book she grabbed from the library, she could tell there was nothing there. No emotions. She felt nothing about what just happened. "This means nothing Saltzman" Hope shouted as she left.
What just happened. Josie just kissed the most popular girl in school. When she was 13, she had a crush on Hope. She was dreading the next time she was going to see her. What if those feelings came back. Plus, if Maya hadn't messaged Hope, who knows how far she would've gone. Hope already lost her virginity, but Josie hadn't. Her ex Grace wasn't into things like that, she was more of a social person. And apart from her, nobody ever had shown interest in her.
Hope walked downstairs and sat next to Maya in the cafeteria holding a bacon sandwich. "What?" She said, her mouth stuffed with food. "Your smiling." Maya said in a stern voice, "why are you smiling?" Hope was a bit offended by this. Was she not allowed to be happy every so often. "I just read something good in my book, that's all" Maya nodded and whispered "yeah definitely" under her breathe. "Seriously! Maya you gotta believe me. You believe me don't you Raf?" Hope said looking behind Maya. "Aye, don't get me involved in your bullshit!" Hope rolled her eyes and continued eating, still smiling uncontrollably.
