(Disclaimer: in this story Malivore never existed and Landon doesn't know his dad. Landon also doesn't come back to life if he dies, the only time he comes back is if he dies from old age)

When Josie woke up, she found herself cuddled up in Hopes arms. She could barely remember how she had got there, when it all came back to her. She didn't move. She was tempted to go back to sleep. She eventually gave in and did.

When Hope woke up, she had a raging headache. When she turned over she saw Josie laying on her bed. She never let anyone in her bedroom. But for some reason she felt fine with it, she liked Josie, but if anyone found out she was in there, she would deny it. She was staring at her perfect face when her eyes had opened. "Morning" Hope whispered. Josie smiled, Hope could tell she was tired. "What happened last night, my head is killing me." Josie laughed and Hope could smell her breath, "oh okay...tequila." Hope smiled almost drifting back off to sleep, "some of us got more drunk than others." Josie replied. "Well I'm going to have a shower in my own dorm, don't worry, I won't let anyone see me come out. See you at breakfast." As Hope sat up, it felt like someone had hit her round the head with a metal water bottle. "Invisique". Then Josie disappeared. The door opened and closed. She was gone.

When Josie got back to her dorm, she looked around to see if Lizzie was there. When she couldn't see her, she assumed Lizzie was staying in MG's dorm for the night. When she got out of the shower she looked through her wardrobe, why is my wardrobe so plain? Now she knew what she was going to do today.

"Dad" Josie said to her father, Alaric Saltzman, the principal. "I'm going into town, I promise I won't set anything on fire." She said laughing. Ric threw her his keys, take the SUV." Josie smiled at him and ran to the front door. She had got her driving license a few months before. However her dad didn't want to buy her a car because it was 'a waste of money'. That's when Josie got angry and decided to mot speak to him for 2 weeks. She succeeded somehow. As she walked through the front door, she felt a hand in her own. "Josie!" It was Lizzie. "Where the hell are you going?" What was she meant to do? Lie? "I'm going shopping, I need new clothes." "Need or want? Anyway I'm coming." She knew that was coming.

Was Josie trying to escape her. Hope sat by the lit fireplace looking at the door. Josie and Lizzie walked out and then she heard a car start up and drive away. Landon came and sat next to her. "Hey Hope." "Hi Landon" Hope really didn't feel like being nice, but she wasn't a bad person so she had to, "how's it going?" She said fake smiling. "Honestly not amazing, Maya won't leave me alone, I'm starving, oh not to mention, I have wings." It took Hope a while to realise what he had just said, "wait what? Wings?" Hope knew Landon was a pheonix, but he was also human, wasn't he? Meaning that couldn't be possible. He stood up and walked back. To Hopes astonishment, bid fiery wings expanded out of Landon's back and he lifted into the air, "I- uh. Woah" Hope said struggling to find words. The wings disappeared whilst he was still in the air and he fell onto the floor, "oh my god Landon!" Hope ran up to him. He wasn't moving. He shook him hard, "come on Kirby!" She gave him cpr, hoping he would come back. With a gasp of air, he woke up, "for Christ sake Landon, you scared me." She lay down next to him, out of breath. "Thanks for that, saving me, I mean." Rafael ran into the room, "Hope? Landon? Are you alright! I heard you screaming." They sat up and looked at Rafael. "Well I just died, I guess. But Hope saved me." Hope hated this, she didn't like drawing attention to herself. "Oh honestly, it was noth-" "No, you saved him. How can I repay you?" Raf cut her off mid sentence. Hope was thinking of something he could do. "Oh I don't... actually you could get me some ice cream." She said laughing. He grabbed her hands. "Ok it's settled. How about I get some popcorn and we can invite some people to me and Landon's dorm for a movie night?" Hope thought about his idea. She could invite Josie and her sister. "Yeah sure, tomorrow night at 7?" It was settled.

When Josie got back, she was holding some many bags she was almost falling over. In the other hand, Lizzie was holding none. When they got upstairs and into the dorm, Hope was standing there. "Guys! Uh- hi." Josie unpacked their clothes and put them in the wardrobe, "Hi Hope!" Lizzie said nicely, "what has brought you here?" Lizzie was so curious she wouldn't even let the girl breathe. "Tomorrow night, me, Landon, Ethan, Raf and Maya are having a movie night. We were wondering if you guys and MG wanted to come." Lizzie looked over at Josie to read her face, "Yes. We would love to come Hope. So in Rafael's dorm at 7 was it?" "Ye- wait, how'd you know that?" Josie didn't say anything. "I have spies everywhere." "Okay... that's enough for tonight. Uh- we'll see you tomorrow Hope."
