*Ella's POV
Ugh. Another day living the same boring life. My alarm just went off letting me know I should be awake and getting ready for school. At least senior year is almost over, right? Just two more months of pain and suffering and then I can finally go to UCLA and have a nice college experience. I mean, at least that's the plan.
I was texting Liv, my bestfriend, letting her know I was about to leave to pick her up when I notice the mess in front of my house. These two huge trucks were parked outside with workers moving boxes. That's when I realised they finally sold my ex-neighbours's house. It was about time. I mean, we live in Calabasas so selling multi million dollars houses is kinda of hard. Anyways, I'm excited to see who my new neighbours are.
Liv: Bitch where tf are you?
I see a text from Liv on my screen. Shit. I lost track of time thinking about my new neighbours and now I'm late. Great way to start the morning.
I must have broken at least 5 traffic rules by the time I got to Liv's. I pull up and see her running to my car.
"Hey whore, thought you forgot about me" She says while giving me a smile.
"Just shut up and get in" I say while almost driving off. In case you didn't notice, that's how we communicate.
We blast some music and make it in time for first period, thanks to me speeding like a crazy person. The school day on the other hand doesn't go as fast, especially when I'm curious about the new neighbours.
I get home and see that the people that moved in are most likely already there since the trucks are gone and the lights inside are on. I need to find my mom and ask her if she knows anything.
"Mom, do you know who the new neighbours are by any chance?" I ask her as I walk in the kitchen.
"No idea. I hope they come say hi to us soon. Are you also curious?" She laughs while asking me, probably because the curiosity is written all over my face.
"You have no idea how" I answer and go to my room. Cloosing the door like always, I sit on my bed and scrool through Tiktok for who knows how long and then I decide to go sleep. Sometimes i think im addicted to my phone, especially Tiktok, i mean my screen time is 10 hours. At least tomorrow is saturday so I don't have to wake up at 7 in the morning.
