Anna's POV
I slowly walk out of my room trying not to make any noises. If the girls hear me, they would ask why I was going outside at almost midnight and I would hate having to make something up.
I feel the cold night breeze as I head to the stairs that lead to the rooftop. I really need to see Ella.
I go up very carefully, especially because I don't want to scare her. No way she's expecting someone to be here at this time of the night.
"Hi" I say in a low voice. Her head turns into my direction right away showing a confused look on her face. She's so cute.
"Uhm hi. What you doing here?" She replies but still doesn't look me in the eyes. Why?
"Can we talk?" I ask and sit down next to her. I can still hear the music she was listening to, although it's in a really low volume.
"I guess" She says with a dry tone, still looking at the city.
"Ella" Still nothing.
"Ella" I say again, carefully putting my hand on her checks and making her face me "Please look at me"
As our eyes meet, I instantly feel the connection between us. The same one I felt at this very rooftop the first time we talked.
"What happened? Are you mad at me?" I ask her while slowly rubbing my finger back and forth on her skin. She still doesn't answer me.
She sighs and takes my hand off her face. Ouch.
"I'm nothing to you Anna. It's not your fault. I'm the one to blame. I get my hopes up when I shouldn't" She tells me but I just don't understand.
"What do you mean I'm nothing to you? When did I ever say that?" I ask her, never being more confused in my entire life.
"I'm just a random girl at a party, right?" She says, looking away from me again.
Wait. Oh fuck. This is about the tiktokroom comment isn't it?
"Wait. Are you talking about that stupid tiktokroom comment?" I ask her and she turns to face me
"Yeah Anna. Whatever" She replies and starts getting up to leave. Well, there's no way she's going before listening to me first.
The thing about being famous is that most people that aren't can't understand some things. I had to write that comment so people could stop gossiping and making rumors. Every little thing becomes massive unless it's addressed and explained. I just did what I had to do.
Plus I hate talking about my feelings, especially on social media. I've never once talked to Eva about girls. Again, Ella is my exception because I've never felt the things I feel for her for anyone before. She's so different from everything, so special. And she needs to understand that this is difficult and confusing for me too.
"El, please just listen to what I have to say" I make her sit down again and fix my gaze on her. "You remember the first time we talked, here on this roof, that I told you how difficult it is to be on social media?" She nods and I continue. "Addressing situations is a part of it. I had to make that comment because otherwise, people wouldn't shut up about it. I wrote that and the situation ended."
We are so close to each other that I can hear her breathing. Without any hurry, I put my hand on her thigh, making her look up to me again. "I would never say those things about you. You are not some random girl at the party. You're the only the reason I was there in the first place"
"I'm sorry I was such a dick. I should've put myself in your position. I don't understand what it takes to be famous, but I guess you can explain it to me along the way" She sighs and puts her hand on mine.
The contact of her skin makes something grow hotter inside of me. I caught her looking at my lips for a split second and that was all that I needed. I lean in, kissing the girl that's been on my mind all day.
My hands are still on her thigh so I start moving them up and down. Ella then breaks the contact between our mouths making me confused.
"Wait, what's that over there?" She says pointing our left direction. I turn my head looking for whatever she's talking about.
"What is what? You mean that" I'm cut mid sentence by her sitting on top of me and putting lips on my neck.
"Surprise" She whispers, sending chills through my whole body.
This time, our kiss starts turning a little more intense. I lick her bottom lip asking for entrance and she slowly opens her mouth, making us move in a perfect rhythm.
I put my hand around her neck and kiss her passionately. It's like all the tension from the day is going away now that we're together.
Without separating from me, she moves her hand from my hips to under my hoodie. I don't know how much of this I can't take without having to feel every party of her body.
"Ella..." I whisper, not even knowing what I'm asking her.
I'm thinking that I'll be able to handle this, that I'll be fine, but then she starts grinding on me, just like I did to her at the party. Not gonna lie, I like this kind of payback, but right now I'm about to lose my mind.
"Honey are you still up there?" I hear a woman's voice and she immediately hops off me.
"Shit. It's my mom. Act normal" Oh my God. What is it with this roof and people walking in on us?
"Omg, okay" I reply and laugh a little at how red she is.
"Ella, it's getting late why...oh hi! Didn't know you had company" She says in a nice way.
Hey Mrs.Brooksfield! I was about to take your daughter home and make her scream my name so loud you would hear it from across the street! Oh, I'm Anna by the way!
Yeah of course I didn't say that.
"Hey Mrs.Brooksfield, I'm Anna! I just moved in a couple weeks ago and Ella was showing me this nice view"
I look over to Ella who looks like is gonna pass out any minute. This girl.
"Oh nice to meet you! I was dying to know our new neighbours" she smiles "I was calling Ella because I made popcorn and was about to watch a movie with her dad. Why don't you join us? You can sleep over after" She invites me and I couldn't say no to a sleepover. Oops, I mean movies.
"Sure, of course" I reply and head to her house.
Sleepover it is then.
