The day had finally come. Yusei had been cleared to play again, so it was time for her first practice. She changed in the bathroom before joining Kyoutani and making their way to the gym. "Why are you eating right now man?" Yusei asked, her eyes squinting at the male next to her.

"Om humbey (I'm hungry)" He replied, as he chewed, making her grimace and shake her head.

Everyone seemed surprised to see Kyoutani, together with Yusei even more so. "Sup, brought a runaway with me," Yusei grinned at the slack jawed coaches and wideyed players.

"Well it's about time," Oikawa smiled, walking up to the two of them with his arms outstretched. "Welcome back, Maddog, Yusei-"

"PPPPPPLPFFGTTTYTYY WHAT?!" Yusei chortled, immediately turning into a full blown stomach aching wheeze. Kyoutani was already turning blue in dread as Oikawa raised an eyebrow.

"It's not that funny, is it?" Yahaba whispered to Kindaichi, who shrugged.

"Who is this Maddog guy, though?" Kindaichi asked in return. Yahaba went on to explain as Yusei calmed down enough to catch her breath.

"Wooooo, that was fun. My stomach hurts," She complained, then glanced at Kyoutani. "I'm never gonna let that go, by the way."

"I figured," He grumbled, "first the third years are still here, now this. Man, thought they woulda dropped out after they lost Interhigh perlims. Ya know, cause they suck."

"That's quite the mouth, maddog," Yusei snickered, mostly at the angry and shocked faces around her.

"Awww, just as hilarious as always Maddog!" Oikawa didn't seem phased in any way, just smiling like the little shit he was.

"Could you stop calling me stupid nicknames?" Kyoutani narrowed his eyes at the captain of Seijoh.

"Oh come on, you know you're glad to be playing on the same team as me~ just admit it!" He told him, and suddenly his face darkened. "Wait, you'll come to realize it soon enough." In a split second, Oikawa returned to having a dorky expression.

But those few moments were enough to put Kyoutani on guard, but made Yusei yawn. "Man, how boring," She sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. Oikawa looked confused. "I mean, if you want to intimidate someone, you should do it right."

"What are you talking about? I'm not trying to intimidate anyone!" Oikawa waved it off, making her smirk. He returned the look.

"Okay, that's enough goofing off. Since we have Udai-kun and Kyoutani-kun here, let's start with practice." Irihata called, Mizoguchi following him over to the players.

With that said, everyone started warming up while Kyoutani and Yusei got their gear on. Soon joining the rest for warm up, the real practice started a few moments later.

Kyoutani's opinion of Yusei skyrocketed as he witnessed her play. They were playing queens, three back row players plus one front row setter. Oikawa and Yahaba switched sides everytime someone won and moved to the Queen's side.

Because of that, Oikawa had yet to set for Yusei. He was getting a bit frustrated because he had been looking forward to that day for ages, but as soon as the next queen was won, he found his prayers had been answered.

Yusei nodded to him with a smirk from the left back position, Kunimi in right back and Mattsun in middle back. Kunimi served, and the other side played it out. Oikawa jumped to block the outside, getting a touch.

Kunimi received the chance ball, passing it high towards Oikawa. Putting his hands up, Oikawa glanced at his spikers.

Yusei was radiating energy, which made the setter chuckle lightly. If you want it that badly, you can have it! He thought with a grin as he sent it outside. The female also grinned, doing her approach. Since they had yet to play together, the set wasn't exactly perfect, but it was close.

Yusei slammed it on the ten foot line, landing a second later as cheers, gasps and whistles went up in the air. As they were switching sides, Yusei walked past Oikawa. "A little higher next time would be better."

"Roger that," He replied easily. He had also noticed the set was a bit low for her because of that redonkulous jump of hers. Shaking his head, Oikawa got ready for the next play.

"Well done everyone, have a good evening and we'll see you tomorrow morning bright and early," Irihata told them before sending them off to the club room.

Yusei managed to change in the bathroom in less than three minutes, then jogged to join everyone in the club room. "Udai-san!" Watari called, waving her. She raised an eyebrow.

"What's up?"

"He wants to add you to the group chat," Makki replied. "Oikawa's the only one with your number but he's being stingy," He complained, making the person in question gasp.

"It's his number! I'm not low enough to give it out without permission, unlike some people!"

"Oh please, spare us," Mattsun rolled his eyes. Oikawa huffed, crossing his arms. Iwaizumi threw a ball at him while Yusei input her number into Watari's phone.

"Feel free to add me whenever," Yusei opened her locker and grabbed her bag, peacing out and leaving before anyone could even blink.

"He's so cool," Watari grinned, the third years all making noises of agreement. Kyoutani was the next out of the club room, jogging to catch up with Yusei.

"So, Maddog..." Yusei smirked as his face twisted with dread and realization. "It really does suit you, doesn't it? Man, Tooru-kun has great nicknaming skills. Wait, that reminds me, do you think I can still be the demon king or will I need a new nickname?"

"It should be fine, I mean, it's not like anyone else can be the demon king besides you. Plus, you're already famous so even if your old school wanted to keep that title, it's not like the media will stop calling you the demon king," Kyoutani reasoned, making the female hum.

"Guess that makes sense," She smiled, placing her hands behind her head as they walked. "Ya know, as soon as Tooru-kun brought up your nickname, I thought of maybe changing it."

"Oh yeah?" Kyoutani asked curiously. Maybe it was a badass nickname--not like Maddog wasn't, but it was kind of more insulting than anything else.

"I thought that since I'm the demon king, you could be my dog Cerberus," Yusei smirked evilly. Kyoutani deadpanned.

"... I'll stick to Maddog."

"Yeah, I thought so. Oh well."

(Sorry for the long wait, writers block is a bitch. This week will follow the normal schedule so hope you look forward to it!)
