Chapter 12-Rico

Its almost been a month since Damian and Erwin went missing. I can feel the guilt in the air around Rafael but I felt just as guilty about it.

I know this is a horrible thought but Im somewhat glad Damian went missing and Im hoping hes with Erwin because if only one of them had been missing the other might have done something drastically crazy and got us all killed.

I cant imagine what they would do without each other after what happened three years ago. I know Rafael remembered it very clearly and probably would never forget what happned.

Three years ago, The four of us, our girlfriends and Damians sister Ellie went to the movies together. After the movie ended, Ellie and Rafael were outside trying to call Ellies friend to pick her up to go to the mall.

Rafael hadnt been paying attintion and was in the middle of the street when a car came speeding down the street and would have hit him if Ellie hadnt pushed him out of the way.

She had been killed on impact, breaking almost every bone.

That was why we had to get both of them back and soon before their parents found out. Dont get me wrong, there the brothers I always wanted and I really did love them but I cant imagine how their parents will reach when there only two sons might die, three years after their daughter.

"Rico."

Looking up at the door, Im meet with a pale, sulken eyed Rafael. He held out the phone,"Its Jess." Reaching out, I grasped the phone."Hey." I heard a laugh. "You sound exhasted."

"I am."

"Arent you on vacation with your best friends? Just spend a day sleeping, i mean you do that anyway."

"Its alot more complicated than that." I could hear her pause. She knows I like to tip-toe around the truth, always trying to sugar coat it and never let anyone worry to much.

"Whats going on?"

"Its Damian and Erwin." She froze again. Jen (isnt it weird how close our girlfriends names where?) must have brought up that Damian wasnt picking up his phone. "Wh-whats wrong with them?"

"Theyve been kidnapped."

"................................YOURE JUST NOW TELLING US THIS?" She shouted into the phone. I felt my words catch in my throte,"Yea, im sorry okay i really am." She sighed,".........Im sorry for yelling, its just Jen has been pretty stressed and ............ are you laughing?"

I tryed to calm down a little bit. "Jess you know how Damian and Jen are, they both worry alot." She laughed at that,"Thats true but Damians worse."

"Oh, big time."

Everything got silent for a second."I miss you," she said, a little sadly. "Yea, I miss you too."

"Okay well ive got to go. I wont tell Jen for know, ill just say he dropped his phone in the ocean."

"Or threw it at a pole."

She started laughing,"Your never going to let that go are you?"

"No, of course not."

"Okay, stay safe please, and try to find them."

"I will, I love you."

"I love you too."

The line went dead.
