---Rafaels Point of view---
I could only feel one thing and that was pain. It was everywhere. I didn't think you could hurt this much and still be alive.
Looks like I'm to blame for another death.
I remember everything and I know that I'm probably knocked out or possibly in a coma
But I just can't bring myself to wake up. I don't want to face the fact that Erwin was kidnapped even though I watched it happen.
Sure I couldn't move and everything was fuzzy but I could have tried harder. It was supposed to be safe with two people.
Groaning, I opened my eyes to white. "Shit, did I actually die?"
I heard the sound of chair scraping wood floors and Rico was suddenly next to me. His brown eyes were wide with fear. I haven't seen him this shaken up since the accident.
I tried to give him a smile but it turned more into a grimace.
Sitting on the bed he asked "how are you feeling?" I laughed at the sincerity in his voice. "I feel like I got hit by a taco truck." He gave me a little smile.
Looking around he must have sensed what I was thinking."Damian's in the bathroom." I nodded my head slowly. I didn't believe that. He looked to worried. "Where is he?"
Rico started playing with his hands. "You see, that's the million dollar question because honestly
I have no idea."
My jaw dropped.
"How do you have no idea where he is? I get that he's short but jeez YOU CANT JUST LOOSE HIM!" As I tried yelling at him my voice shook and got extremely raspy.
He gave me a look that said 'this is Damian were talking about,' but I felt bad for yelling.
They had been best friends since 1st grade when Damian took blame for a prank Rico pulled on the teacher. "Why did he leave?"
Rico sighed and ran a hand threw his hair."said he had to find Erwin. He feels responsible for it. He doesn't even blame me and I was the one who let you guys leave."
I have a dry laugh."sure but we're the ones who actually left. It's not like you made us go." He shook his head,"you know that's not how he thinks."
Oh trust me Rico, I know.
