Chapter 13-Erwin

I was awakened to the sound of rapid footsteps and shouting outside of my door. I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. Not knowing what was going on, I leaned over and shook Damian. "Damian.......Damian wake up." Groaning, he turned on his side facing the wall. He grunted and mumbled something along the lines for 10 more minutes.

"Damian get up, seriously. Something bads happening outside in the hallway and it's really worrying me. Please get up." He still didn't respond. "Damian get UP!" I whisper shouted. Standing up, I picked him up and flung him at one of the stripped beds. He landed with a thud and have a small oof, but that was the only thing that happened. I paced around the room before walking toward the door. As I pressed my ear against it, something or someone was flung hardly into it. I stumbled backward and hit my head on the tables edge.

The cops called us earlier and said they think they might know where Damian and Erwin are. They have a theory that they actually haven't left the building but are somewhere underground.

One of the motels employees accidentally left a door open and a guest walked into it, trying to find the front desk worker. He called the cops as soon as he saw what was in there: a whip, bolted chair with leather straps, and a bunch of knives and scalpels. Everything had blood on it, excluding the cement floor.

Rafael was the one who told me about it after he got off the phone with the cops and all of the color had drained from him, leaving him the color of paper. I wasn't sure how he was taking it because he locked himself in the bathroom and won't come out. I tried everything to get him to come out.

He didn't even do anything when I said that I wasn't going to give him food if he stayed in there. He had been silent for almost two hours and it was scaring me shitless.

I was alone right now, completely and utterly alone. My best friend and his brother are kidnapped and possibly dead and my other friend was wasting himself away in a bathroom. And here I was.

Rico.

By himself.

I couldn't even help my friend who was in the room behind me.

I didn't think things could get much worse than they currently where.

But I was proven wrong.
