"Is he almost here, Amber?" I asked her as I put on my last ring.

Amy had decided to come over to help me get dressed for today. She knew I wasn't going to wear what she said to, so she wanted to me to wear something she accepted of.

"Yes, he says he's 5 minutes away." She looked at her phone screen and rolled her eyes.

"How do i look?" I turned around to face her.  I wore a normal pair of ripped mom jeans, with a white bodysuit, and a green gap zip up covering it. Oh, can't forget about my extremely crusty vans.
"What I chose was better." She huffed.

I was scrolling through Instagram when I heard the doorbell ring.

Shit.

Amber and I both looked at each other. we raced downstairs before anyone else could open the door for whoever my date was.

I had finally gotten to the last step and saw the front door wide open.

Great.

"Do you play sports?" Nathan asked the tall figure.
"Football at school, baseball whenever I feel like it." I heard a deep, but soothing voice say.

Oh hell no.

"Amy ?" I whispered to her. We were both kneeled down on the stairs, trying to spy on them.
"Yes?" I turned to her and a huge smirk was placed on her face.
"You will not live to see next Monday." I tugged her ear and she yelped, throwing the boys' attention to us.

They both turned to us, and there he was standing. Wayne was wearing what he usually wears. Black joggers and a red Nike crew neck with a gold chain dangling from his neck and a white shirt peeking out of the crew neck. It's like he was a fucking mannequin for Nike. He did look very well, but when doesn't he?

Ugh, the things I'd do to that body. It's like a personal jungle gym! I'd hang out his waist like a monkey if I could.

"Hi." I bluntly said with no expression what so ever.
"Evelyn, don't be rude." Nate rolled his eyes and grabbed his keys from the kitchen, making Wayne laugh.

"Where are you going?" I crossed my arms and scoffed.
"Aunt Carol is having a bbq right now, pops told me to go buy some shit." He explained and headed out the door.

Ugh, how dare my own family throw a party full of food when I'm going out? Monsters.

"Well maybe-"
"Shut up, Amber." Wayne growled at Amy and she gasped.
"Shut up!? I put you two lovebirds together." She cooed and grabbed my cheek.
"Sorry, maybe another lifetime. Now hurry up, I want this day to be over." He walked out the house, leaving Me and Amber speechless.

"He's a dick, Amy. You set me up with the dick of the school. Remember that. You. You did this. Now I have to deal with a moody teenage boy for five hours." I grabbed her ear and whispered to her.
I headed for the door and he was already in his Black Jeep, and the engine was roaring.

When I got to the door, I put my hand on the handle and he blew the horn.
"Hurry the fuck up, I need this "date" to end as soon as possible." He titled his head back on the rest and groaned.
"Did you not see my hand on the handle!?" I retorted as I got in the car.
"Yes, I did." He smiled and immediately drove off, not even giving me time to get comfortable.

"So here's the plan. It takes us 34 minutes to get there, however there's going to be a lot of traffic, which means we're going to be stuck in this car alone for almost an hour." He explained with one hand on the wheel.
