MOUNT JUSTICESeptember 28, 14:12 EDT
"Ugh. You two are so annoying. It's not even a date; it's honestly more like a hangout." Claire groaned at Artemis and M'gann, who both had their arms crossed.
The Martian and the archer glanced at each other, seeming to have a mental conversation, causing Claire to groan again from her position on the lounge couch.
Artemis shrugged her shoulders before turning to Claire.
"Claire, he literally sent you this message, and I quote... Hey Claire, I'll be by to pick you up at 5:30. Heart emoji, heart emoji." The archer deadpanned.
Claire rolled her eyes, "He's just super friendly." She shrugged the archer off.
"Who's super friendly?" Wally asked, appearing at the lounge entranceway alongside Robin and Kaldur.
The speedster bit into a ketchup and mustard hotdog.
"Claire's boyfriend." Artemis cooed, causing Wally to spit the piece of hotdog out of his mouth.
Robin scoffed in apparent disbelief, "Claire has a boyfriend? Seriously?"
"One, why would that be so hard to believe? And two, he's not my boyfriend," Claire replied, putting her pinkie finger up at both Robin and Artemis.
Artemis gasped, "You did not just put your pinkie up at me."
The golden blonde stuck her tongue out at the archer before putting up two pinkies this time.
"How about guy friend?" M'gann asked, perking up with her index finger in the air.
"Hate to break it to you, greenie, but that's pretty much the same thing," Claire replied.
Artemis smirked, "Fine, we'll just call it what it is. Claire's got a date."
Robin elbowed Wally, who just stared with his mouth agape. Meanwhile, Kaldur just shook his head sadly.
"D-date?" Wally mumbled.
Claire sighed audibly before turning to the speedster. "It's not a date."
Then she turned to the Martian and Archer. "And he's not my boyfriend, guy friend, or any other names you can think of."
Artemis smirked in reply, "Is that why his name in your phone is... Trent, smirk face with a red heart emoji?"
Claire's eyes grew wide before a blush formed on her cheeks. A blush that everyone in the room could see.
Wally shifted uncomfortably, and his gaze narrowed into a slight glare.
"U-um well, you see. He... kinda put it like that."
"See! He's so your boyfriend!" Artemis exclaimed.
"Artemis, no offense. But I can actually break your face." Claire stated nonchalantly, glancing back at the archer.
Artemis shrugged, "You could, but you won't." She replied simply.
"Besides, don't you have to get ready to see Trent? It's already four forty." She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
Claire shook her head before checking her watch, "It's not four forty already- Oh my god, it's four forty. I have to go." The blonde announced frantically, flying up from the couch and landing in front of the boys.
"Wait, Claire, I thought that maybe we could hang out today?" The ginger asked hopefully, gesturing between the two of them. But Claire winced in response.
