Claire's eyes snapped open with her fist smashed into the annoying alarm clock on her nightstand.
Camilla was still asleep on the other side of the room, seeing how they usually wake up an hour from now.
Claire could still see the stars when she got out of bed, the moonlight streaming into the room as she walked down the hall and to the bathroom.
After taking a shower, brushing her teeth, and washing her face, Claire walked back into her shared room.
The superheroine checked her closet and pulled out one of her usual outfits, a blue long sleeve, blue jeans, and black shoes, before doing a double-take.
She slowly looked back into the closet before pulling out something new, something different.
This time, Claire walked out of her closet with a jean jacket, a solid black shirt, black jeans, and white converse. The heroine smirked slightly with a nod before taking it back into the bathroom to change.
After Claire had finished, she could tell that it was already 7:30 from the sound of her mom yelling at them to wake up, plus Cami's insistent knocking.
"Claire, hurry up! I don't have all day!" Cami shouted, knocking harder.
"At this rate, that idiot is gonna break the door down." Claire thought.
"Go away! I'm busy!" Claire shouted back, finishing the rose pink lipstick that she was applying.
She puckered her lips in the mirror while curling her hair with one finger, her eyes trained in on her little wavy hair strand before a thought popped up in her head.
She looked down in the cabinet under the sink and found her mom's old curling iron.
Claire ended up spending the next thirty minutes curling her hair into a wavy style. By the time she had finished, the bathroom clock had said 8:00, meaning that she only had about five minutes to eat breakfast before the bus came.
The heroine messed with her hair till all of it sat down her back, save for three strands that laid on her right shoulder.
"Perfect." She thought.
Claire opened the bathroom door without a care in the world, expecting to see Cami there fuming. Instead, her sister was nowhere to be found.
"Huh. Maybe she got the hint." Claire thought as she grabbed her white backpack with golden floral patterns.
As she walked down the stairs, Cami stopped in front of her. "Where have you been? You have like five minutes to eat breakfast before the bus comes!"
Then she gasped, "And what have you done to your hair?"
Claire just stared at her blankly, "I know how much time I have to eat, and about the bus. I think I'll fly today." She informed her sister before walking past her and into the dining room.
"And as for my hair, I curled it. Can't you tell?"
When she sat down, Cami walked over with a slightly scrunched-up face, "Mom and Dad said that you can't use your powers in public."
Claire just rolled her eyes in disinterest. "Last time I checked, Mom and Dad went to work ten minutes ago, and I don't have to listen to you." She stated before dropping the bacon and grabbing her backpack.
