Ahsoka Tano is a general in the Rebellion. But she has a secret.
Barriss Offee, formerly traitor, now a general in the Rebel Alliance. But her heart is torn between her love and the freedom of the galaxy.
CT-7567, known as Captain Rex, is an elite...
CT-7567, or Captain Rex watched as his stormtroopers shoved the Mon Calamari and Quarren laborers forwards. His brother CC-2224, or Commander Cody, stood beside him.
"Your troopers are well trained," Cody said as he watched them. "There is no chance of rebellion on Mon Cala."
"Thank you, Commander," Rex said formally as he folded his arms over his chest. He could see clearly through his skull-shaped white helmet as his brother surveyed the scene.
Hundreds of workers were shoved forwards with electro-staffs and blasters as they mined the materials needed for the Imperial Starfleet. They should have always been doing this. Rex thought coldly. Their service to their Emperor. He followed his orders without question, as well as every single trooper.
"Commander, Captain, there is a new report of rebel activity in a nearby sector that Admiral Yularen requests you see." The orders sounded through the helmet and blared in Rex's mind.
"Of course," Rex replied. He turned to the shuttle and entered it, Cody on his heels. While Admiral Yularen had served in the Clone Wars, his son Rask Yularen served the Empire with unwavering loyalty.
As the shuttle exited the atmosphere of the planet smoothly, a memory washed over Rex. He had been told that his memory had been wiped to ensure his utmost loyalty to the Empire, but every once in a while, a memory slipped through.
"Rex." A pair of shimmering blue eyes. His name again. "Rex." Those mesmerizing blue eyes and the feeling of soft hands on his face. The feeling of warm lips on his forehead.
"Rex! Trooper, wake up," Cody said, jolting him out of his mind. They were approaching the Star Destroyer already and passing through the ray shield to land.
"I'm sorry, Commander," Rex said quickly. "It won't happen again, sir."
"It better not," Cody warned as he stood, slightly adjusting his blaster.
Rex shook his head slightly as he tried to shake the foggy memory. Who had said his name? The eyes, though. They were beautiful. The shade of blue was a color that he vaguely remembered, but it couldn't be from the Empire.
The Empire only used red, black, and white in their armor and weaponry. The blue was something from his past. Something that he'd been made to forget.
He immediately banished the thoughts from his mind as he focused on the task at hand. He walked up to the bridge, flanked by a pair of troopers. Rask Yularen had neatly combed brown hair, cold hazel eyes, and was dressed in a green outfit.
"Captain, Commander," Rask said as the two stormtroopers walked forward. "Come. Over Christophsis, our Star Destroyer was obliterated by rebels." Rask pressed a button a holoprojector and a video popped up. "This was taken by one of our TIE fighters before it was destroyed."
Rex watched as a small group of blue and white ships were clearly outnumbered, their shields failing, and their engines glowing as the ships began moving forward. Suddenly, though, a group of the same style of ships, five to be exact, appeared from hyperspace. Fighters destroyed the Imperial ship and the TIEs as the hologram disappeared.
"Anything that you noticed?" the admiral asked, his eyes hard.
"They use old Jedi Clone Wars tactics," Cody pointed out. "I recognize some of the fighting strategies."
"Exactly," Rask said, his eyes glittering angrily. "They are lead by clones or Jedi. Based on our intel, the two generals leading the attack over Christophsis were General Tano and General Offee."
Cody flinched at the name 'General Offee'. But the commander quickly straightened and asked, "Was any transmission intercepted? It could help us strategize."
"No," Rask said. "They jumped into hyperspace too quickly for our probes to latch on."
"What a disappointment," came an echoing sing-song laugh edged with a hiss. A woman dressed in all black emerged from the shadows of the bridge. "These rebels are a threat to the Empire and it is clear, Admiral, that you and your stormtroopers are not capable of handling a Jedi-led group."
"Inquisitor," hissed Rask at the woman. A Jedi hunter? thought Rex, surprised. "Why are you here?"
Immediately, the admiral's air was cut off and he hovered slightly above the ground, clawing at his throat desperately. "I am here because Lord Vader sent me," snarled the Inquisitor. "So be silent or I will make you."
"Yes, my lady," choked out Rask as the Inquisitor dropped him to the cold ground.
"Good," the Inquisitor said. "Now, we need to take an elite strike team and drive the rebels to the ground, where we can capture them and find the Jedi. For now, this battalion is under my control."
"Yes, Fourth Sister," said Rask as he shakily stood and saluted the Jedi hunter. Rex and Cody followed suit.
"Good," the Fourth Sister said icily. "And be warned, I will not hesitate to kill someone who disobeys my orders."
With that, the Inquisitor left, her red-edged black cloak flickering behind her like dying flames. But the second she had left an Imperial woman sighed and muttered, "There's no way I'm letting her take over this ship and crew."
Immediately, a double-bladed red lightsaber came flying through the bridge and buried itself in the woman's stomach. The Fourth Sister summoned her saber back to her hand and deactivated it, before securing it on a sheath on her back.
"Let this be a warning to all who disobey me. I won't be as merciful as your fellow Imperial's death. I will make your death more painful than anything else in the entire galaxy," the Fourth Sister said and left.
Rex stood straight up as his blood ran cold. For the first time he could remember, he was scared for his life. Where are you? he asked silently. He didn't know who he was asking, but it felt like the right thing to do.
The voice from the memory floated back to him all of a sudden.
Rex.
A/N: So... my second chapter. The Fourth Sister is an Inquisitor that isn't really mentioned. I looked her up online and she's human and is in a comic. I'm going to use her as the Inquisitor because she's less known than ones like the second sister or fifth brother. Also, who do you think Rex saw and heard in the memory?
