"I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me," Rex heard himself saying. He felt two hands on either side of his head. He slowly blinked his eyes open to see a familiar diamond-marked face above him. "A-Ahsoka?" he asked, his hands shaking as he brought them up to her cheek. She stopped repeating the mantra and threw herself into his arms.

Tears flowed down her cheeks as she hugged him. He hesitated for a moment and pulled her close. "Oh, Rex," she sobbed into his chest. "I-I thought I'd lost you forever."

"So did I," Rex said as he kissed the top of her montrals. "I think I was fighting to get back to you." He paused as Ahsoka finally let him go and gently stroked her montrals. "Back to my cyare."

Ahsoka smiled, linking her fingers with his. She leaned in- when Cody came in and ruined the moment.

"Uh, you might want to wait until we're back on the ship. Reinforcements are here," Cody said. "The Ghost is docking as we speak, so you might want to get going."

"Come on, Codes," Rex said as he stood up. "Let's go."

Cody nodded. "Rex and I will go now. Ahsoka, you need your lightsabers, don't you?" he asked. Ahsoka nodded and tossed back his blaster.

"Listen, you go and find Barriss. Rex, go with your brother. I'll be fine," Ahsoka said, falling back into her "I'm a commander listen to me" voice.

"I'm not loosing you now," Rex said. "Cody, go."

Ahsoka sighed and nodded as Cody left them with a second's hesitation. He had seen the look on Ahsoka's face and decided not to argue with the Togruta. "Let's go," Ahsoka said, taking his hand and leading him back into the dark hallways.

"The bridge's this way," Rex said, squeezing her hand reassuringly. Ahsoka smiled gratefully as they crept along the black passageways. They made it to the bridge without a hiccup, but Ahsoka could sense the Fourth Sister clearly.... which meant the Inquisitor could too.

She risked a glance and held out her hands. Shakily, the two curved lightsaber hilts hovered off the belt of the Inquisitor and flew into Ahsoka's hands. "Hello, Ahsoka Tano," came the Fourth Sister's smooth tone. She turned and removed her helicopter lightsaber from the sheath on her back.

"Rex," she murmured under her breath. "Get out of here. Now."

Rex reluctantly nodded and disappeared. To Ahsoka's surprise, the Inquisitor removed her helmet. She had long blonde hair tied up in a ponytail, secured by two metal pieces. She ignited her saber and it began to spin. Ahsoka knew her.

Her heart dropped in her chest. The Togruta knew the Inquisitor's name. "Brie."

A/N:

Sorry for the late update. Also, I know the name isn't really creative, but it was the best I could come up with. Did you guys see the Bad Batch yet? I love it already! Happy May the Fourth!
