Barriss stood on the ramp of the Ghost. "Cody!" she yelled at him as she held her white blade out. Kanan and Ezra were beside her, wielding their blue sabers. Cody turned around.
"Barriss!" he breathed. A second figure came into the hangar. "Rex, where's Ahsoka?" asked Cody sharply.
"With the Inquisitor."
Ahsoka dodged a swift blow from Brie. Her best friend, aside from Barriss and the clones, a creché-mate as a youngling. "Why did you do it, Brie?" asked as Ahsoka jabbed forwards with one of the white sabers.
Brie laughed, as she leapt forwards, over the corpse of a stormtrooper. All of the Imperials on the bridge were long-dead. "Your beloved master, Skywalker, came to the Temple. He slaughtered the Jedi," Brie snarled. "I joined him. Pain is power! I'm stronger now because of the death."
Ahsoka bit back a flow of tears. Not Anakin. He couldn't. "You lie," she growled, shoving the Inquisitor back with the Force. Brie shook her head and let out a wicked laugh. Ahsoka readied her twin sabers and smashed them down onto the former Jedi's crimson lightsaber.
The Togruta's reflexes were sharp, allowing her to steady her defense, and not be overwhelmed by the unfamiliar dark side lightsaber form. I need open space. she thought and back out of the bridge slowly. Shots were being fired nearby. The Ghost must be there. Ahsoka extinguished her twin sabers and attached them to her belt, leaping with the grace and agility of a hunter along the many convenient metal outcroppings that all Imperial ships had. Brie was walked slowly, her helicopter blade preventing a barricade which meant escaping behind her was impossible.
Thankfully, Ahsoka didn't need to escape that way. The grey form of the Ghost was just visible, and she could hear the humming of Kanan and Ezra's lightsaber could be heard over the blaster shots. Barriss was helping Cody onto the ship, and Zeb was there too, knocking out troopers with his bow rifle in its electro-staff like form.
Ahsoka backed away slowly as Rex covered her. She ignited the twin white blades and held them at a ready position. She lunged back as Brie began to run towards her, the crimson saber spinning faster than before, allowing her to be lifted off the ground to assist with her kicks.
But the Inquisitor wasn't going for Ahsoka. She was going for Rex.
Rex was desperately trying to get out of the way of the fierce Inquisitor. But then he made a fatal mistake. He tripped over a fallen stormtrooper's helmet. The Sith grinned wickedly and raised her lightsaber in an executing position. He took a shaky breath and closed his eyes. I love you, Ahsoka. he thought as he braced for death.
But it never came. Instead, there was a flash of white as a pair of orange hands shoved him out of the way and the lightsaber found it's place in the body of the figure who was collapsed on the ground, a smoking hole where their heart should be.
