"I'm ho -- what the hell -- PA-ES!"

My thumb hit the END button as Abriel scared the heck out of me. "Anong sinisigaw mo riyan?! My God! You're going to give me a heart attack!" I touched my chest as I tried to calm my palpitating heart.

"You're going to give me a heart attack! Anong itsura 'yan?!" She roared as she stormed to where I'm standing -- in the middle of kitchen. And boy, was she fast. Abriel was already in front of me, putting her blazer around my waist, and glared at me. Her face is really red. "What is wrong with you?! Why are you walking naked around the house?!"

I blinked at her accusation. "Um, excuse me? I am not walking naked. I have my shirt on --"

"Pero walang shorts!" Our faces got closer again as she tugged and tightened her hold to the blazer around me.

"What do you want me to do? It wasn't like I purposely did it! Some private number called and was talking nonsense that I thought he broke in to the house! He even knew that I was cold! I mean, I am -- I was -- kasi wala akong suot na pambaba, but still, can you believe that? Kaya naman, hinanap ko siya dito --"

"Baliw ka ba?! Edi dapat nagtago ka kung ganun ang sitwasyon! Your life is more important than this house, Pa-es! If something got taken away or got damaged, they can all be easily replaced! Paano kung may nangyari sa'yo ha? Paano kung may lumuob nga dito sa bahay? Paano ka!?"

I flinched as what she said just dawned on me. "You're right.. I'm sorry Abri.." I just gotten used to it from my previous life, back when I had my feet functioning.

Her shoulders suddenly drooped as she heaved a sigh of relief? I think. She then put her head down on my right shoulder. "What am I going to do with you?" Her already deep, raspy voice for a female gotten lower with her rhetorical question. 

And that's all the warning I got before Abriel proceeded to hug me. "Eep!"

She then quickly pushed me away and the blazer didn't fall off.

Woah, did she tied it -- oh. So it wasn't a hug.

"H-Hehe.. thank you, Abri."

She gave me a dead look. "Magbihis ka na." She already walked away.

"Yes ma'am! At magluluto agad ako!" I saluted as I watched her go to her room.

As promised, I quickly got dress properly and was preparing all the ingredients when I found out that we have no foods to cook! "ABRIEL!"

"Ano? Anong nangyari?" 

I turned to her as she popped up from the corner. "Wala tayong pagkain na! Hindi tayo nakapag-grocery!"

And that was the quick flashback of how we arrived here at Jollibee, wearing only our pambahay.
