It really hurts but I pushed myself to move.
That voice sounded vaguely familiar.. I have to see who..
I grabbed the first thing my hand landed into from this wasteland, hoping it would help me for a self-defense or something, and tried to get up.
"Tulong! Tulungan niyo ko --"
At last, I finally managed to stand up. Staggering, but at least my feet are on the ground -- something I haven't done and felt for quite a while. I started to move even though pain is making it really hard.
I wonder, how badly do I look right now as I limp while bleeding and holding my side with my right hand, and carrying some trash with the other?
"Saklolo! May gustong mangidnap sa'k --"
"Taena naman ang ingay mong babae!"
"Dalian mo kasing tumakbo, tukmol! Nang mapatahimik na!"
Hearing other men's voices made me limp-run faster to their direction. The moment I saw them, I quickly threw what I got from the pile of garbage and it landed right in the middle of the lady and the two men that were chasing her.
That made the three of them stopped and looked at the thing I threw.
And man, even I couldn't believe what it was.
"Anong --"
"P-Pare.. tama ba 'yang nakikita ko?"
The lady screamed in fear as she stumbled down the pavement. "Eeeekkk! Bituka!"
I grimaced silently. That's why it felt slimey! Eegh!
"Pųcha! May dugo pa ata -- ano ba't kalabit ka nang kalabit diyan?!"
The second man is trembling as he pointed at me. "A-Ano 'yun?"
Well, I guess I gotta play the part, huh?
"Who's next -- ahem -- Sinong sunod?" I even smiled creepily (I hope) to add to scary effect while limp-walking towards them. And I guess it worked as the two men ran away -- almost tripping -- just to get away from me as soon as possible.
Phew.. thank goodness they did! I didn't have any Plan B!
"H-H'wag kang lalapit!" The lady watched me in pure fear. She tried to move backwards while still on the ground but I limp-walk faster than she moves. "Iiyaa --"
"Are you -- ahem -- okay ka lang ba?"
She stopped wiggling her hands in front of her face, and slowly turned to see me. "P-Please, nakikiusap ako s-sa'yo... h-h'wag mo kong.." She squeaked. "Kainin.."
I was going to clear things up when suddenly, my stomach grumbled loudly. "S-Sorry.. gutom lang... ak --"
"Eeekk! Oh, my God!"
"May --"
"Ooooh my God! Wag mo kong kainin!"
"Hindi ki --"
"Hindi ako masarap!"
"Excuse me, but can you please shut up?" Her voice is irritating the heck out of me that I rushed what I said. And thank God she did.
