Believe me when I say, I was mind-blown when I found out that the reason Rhyn got here at the hotel faster than us was because of a freaking chopper.
Personal chopper.
I had to close my mouth shut or else it was going to drop on the floor like what happened to Mielle.
"'Yung moment na mapapa-sana all ka na lang talaga." Astonished Mielle mirrored my thoughts.
Sana all indeed.
"Now.." Jace seemed thoughtful as he rubbed his chin. "Bakit hindi ko naisip 'yun? Meron nga pala tayong chopper for work."
"Kasi minsan maluwag ang turnilyo natin, Uncle. Ako nga din hindi ko naisip eh." We laughed as we all headed to the parking lot. "It runs in the blood huh? Salguero blood, 'yung medyo shunga 'pag kailangan, mabilis utak 'pag not so needed."
"Grabe ka naman sa'tin, pamangkin. Minsan lang naman 'yun sa'tin."
"Gaano kadalas ang minsan?" I asked, going along with their banters.
"Always." Rhyn smirked made Jace pout. That actually shocked me as this was, technically, our first conversation (kind of) after yesterday morning.
We all put our bags on the back of Jace's car and since he got the sleep he needed, he was more than happy to be the driver now.
"I call dibs on the shotgun!" Mielle excitedly skipped and got inside in less than five seconds.
The three of us looked at each other. "I guess you two will be on the back."
"That's fine. Let's go?" I sat behind Mielle and reminded her to buckle up. Rhyn is actually riding with us due to the popular demand, except from me... Well.. they all looked at me after trying to convince him for a while to get my opinion, and all I said was, 'Yeah, that's a good idea.'
And it worked, I guess, since he's here with us right? Even though I only got a cold stare after that.
Back then, I wanted to say, 'Pa-importante much?' but who am I kidding? I also did want him to join us for this hours of driving. Like aforementioned, we really didn't talk about what happened yesterday as Mielle and I decided to spend the last day together without the boys.
I'm pretty sure he knew about that, but even so, he didn't send any text like his usual. No Hi, Hello, good night, or good morning texts. Nothing. Up until now, no greetings or anything. And honestly? I am beyond bothered by it.
Couldn't even sleep properly last night.
"Okay people, dahil madaling-araw pa, magpapatugtog ako. Just giving you three a heads up. Kung may request kayong kanta, let me know." Jace started the car and his music.
"Matutulog ako kaya, ikaw na bahala Uncle." Mielle looked back at me. "Okay lang ba ate kung mag-lean back ako?"
"Go ahead, I have plenty of space here." We have the bag of snacks between Rhyn and I, while the drinks are on the floor.
"Salamat ateng!" Mielle went ahead and got herself comfortable to hit her slumber.
"Kayong dalawa? Okay lang ba kayo diyan?"
