Janus had woken up in a rather grumpy mood and everyone could tell. The deceitful side ignored everyone around him in the commons (the sides all live in the mindpalace but the others live in the darker part of it) and continued walking to the kitchen despite Remus saying good morning to him. Remus looked concerned at the scaled side before going back to cleaning his mace next to Roman who was polishing his sword. Logan sat reading on the couch next to the twins not paying attention to them as they bickered lightly. A couple of minutes later Virgil strolls downstairs nodding his head to his music he takes a seat next to Logan and things are quiet for a bit

If only they had stayed quiet...

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOU'RE SUCH A CRYBABY!" They could hear Janus yelling from the kitchen.

"AT LEAST I'M NOT A JERK WHEN I DON'T GET ENOUGH SLEEP!" A familiar voice shouts back.

The other sides decide to check on them after more insults come. As soon as they walk in they see a sad sight, the normally happy couple was fighting and screaming at each other tears streaming down Patton's cheeks "Hey! Hey! What happened?" Roman asks the pair "He came storming in and started yelling at me when I tried to ask what was wrong!" Patton replies sniffling "It's totally my fault he's never overemotional all the time" Janus mumbled lying.

"At least I'm not mean!" Morality retorted

"Hey! Arguing isn't going to help anything" Virgil intersects before Janus can throw another insult.

"Sorry, kiddo..." Patton mumbles "I'm gonna go to my room" the light side then speed walks out of the room.

"What was that?" Virgil interrogated the lying side gesturing towards where Patton had gone.

"I totally know what you're talking about" he replies pretending to check his nails through his gloves "Now if you'll excuse me I'm not going back to my room" he too sped out of the room.

After he left a slam could be heard and then it was quiet again.

The next morning Janus wakes up feeling refreshed he gets up stretches and heads downstairs after changing. As he starts down he can feel eyes watching him "Why are you not looking at me like that?" He queried looking at Virgil who glared holes into him.

"Don't act all innocent now, you made Patton cry yesterday!" Virgil snapped at the deceitful side.

"What are you-" Janus is cut off by the memories of yesterday filling his head.

He slaps his glove over his hand and looks alarmed "I've gotta go apologise!" He bolts off Virgil glaring as he left.

After Janus had looked around not finding the moral side he decides he's probably still in his room, so he heads to the light sides room.

He knocks a couple of times before mumbling, "Patton...it's me Janus...can we talk?"

He hears some shuffling and sniffling and suddenly the door opens slightly revealing a tear-stained Patton

"Aw baby I'm soooo not sorry I meant to yell at you yesterday" Janus immediately apologizes stepping towards his boyfriend.

"I forgive you as long as you promise not to do that again" Patton looks him in his eyes, one a chocolate brown the other a golden yellow.

"Of course not" They hugged each other tightly and walked hand in hand downstairs to begin breakfast.
