It was a long drive in the taxi or 'cab' I guess living in America for months, the language has started to rub off on me.

We were staying at my cousins house and they lived about 40 minutes away from the airport. When we FINALLY got to their house, I took out my headphones and was greeted by one of my cousins, Jacinta (I call her J). She was my age and we were really close. I missed her most out of everyone when my family moved to America.

"I missed you so much Danni-Elle!" J yelled at me. She had chestnut hair and dimples on her cheeks. Her big white teeth showed as her smile reached from ear to ear. I could see the excitement in her green eyes as she opened her arms for a long hug.

"So girl tell me all the deets" J said while she grabbed one of my suitcases and walked infront of me to the house. "what are you talking about?" I replied. "C'mon, you know, the boyfriends, the American gossip. Spill!!!"

"Argh when I get to my room" I gave in. "I think you mean our room. That's right we're sharing a room yay!" She screamed while jumping up and down on the spot.

This month was going a loooooooooong month....

(2 hours later)

I finally got to sit down. I unpacked everything and said hi to the family. I was exhausted and it was starting to get dark outside. I closed my eyes and soon, everything went black. Finally I got a chance to sleep.

I woke up around 2am. I checked my phone. The brightness hit me in the face when I turned it on. I quickly out it down before J woke up.

I had a text from Hayes from an hour ago.

Hayes❤️- miss you already💚
Nawwww Hayesss. I replied:

Me- miss you too💕

I went into Instagram next. I saw that I was tagged in heaps of photos. They were all the same picture. A picture of me and Hayes hugging before I left for Australia. I didn't know anyone took a photo but Nash must of. I was going through them and reading the comments. There were ones like 'they are so cute together' or 'I totally ship them' I saw a couple hate comments but I just brushed them off. Then I went through my feed. I saw Hayes put that picture of me and him up on his Insta. 'I'm gonna miss you❤️❤️' he tagged me and Nash in the bottom right corner of the photo. I liked it and commented on it. He probably won't see the comment since the photo has been up for a day now and there are heaps of other comments but I just out 3 red love heart emojis.

Then I went on Twitter. I gained HEAPS of followers since I've been in Australia. People must have seen the photo of me and hayes on his Insta. I put a tweet to Hayes saying 'answer my text💜'

Not long after I got a notification saying 'Hayes Grier (@hayesgrier) retweeted your tweet (A.N I don't really know how Twitter works so let's just say that's what happened) he replied to my tweet 'okay baby' awwww he called me baby on social media. We haven't told anyone apart from Nash that we are a couple but everyone knows. Now all of his followers are going to know too.

Then I got a text from hayes

Hayes❤️- when are you coming home

Me- I've only been here for like a day

Hayes❤️- but I miss youuu

Me- I miss you too

Hayes❤️- can you call me or FaceTime me? I want to talk properly

Me- as long as I'm not in trouble

Hayes❤️- your not.

Me- I can FaceTime but it will be a bit dark

Hayes❤️- that's fine I just wanna hear your voice.

I stopped texting him and face timed him. I grabbed a blanket and turned the outside light on and sat on the swinging chair in my aunties back yard.

* in the facetime*

Hayes' face popped up on my Mac laptop screen.

"Hayes!" I said with a smile on my face

"Hey baby" he responded. I couldn't help but feel my cheeks turn red. Good thing he can't see properly cause it is so dark.

"Why is it so dark?" He asked. "It's 2:30 am Hayes" I said with a little bit of attitude. He smiled. I love his smile. I love his eyes. I love him.

"I know that we say this all the time but jut as a joke or something but" he started going. "I love you" he finished.

"I love you too Hayes" I answered with a confused look on my face. We say that all the time to each other. Why did he give such suspense before saying it?

"No Danni-Elle, I love you" he said with a serious look on his face

"Are you dying or something?" I asked

"No I'm not dying" he answered

"Then why do you look so serious?" I asked

"Because. Saying I love you like we do means we love each other but you can love a sister or brother." He said

"Yeah..... But I can love a boyfriend too" I am so confused with where this is going.

"Danni-Elle Matthews, I am in love with you" he finally said. We have never said that. I love you yeah we've said but he has never said he is in love with me. And that made me feel special.
"Benjamin Hayes Grier, I am madly in love with you" I answered with a smile on my face.

He smiled back at me. "*phew* I'm glad to finally tell you that" he said. "I've been in love with you for months Danni-Elle but I've never had the courage to tell you"

"Hayes you don't have to worry. I love you with all my heart and I've never been more sure"

"Okay. I better let you go back to sleep then. It's going to be hard talking with the time difference." He stated.

"I know but we'll figure it out" I answered

"Okay bye I love you" he said

"I love you too" I said. He smiled and then hung up. I decided to sit outside for a while because the fresh air was amazing.

I slowly felt my eyes drift off to sleep.

Hayes said he was in love with me.
